  • Hannah NP is wonderful. Compassionate, understanding and patient while discussing my concerns anc future plan of care. However, the reception staff need further training in regards to patient rights. Example: they should not be setting up appointment for patients that are referred to specialist without first communicating with the patient as to their particular window of availability. I find that informing me that my appointment has been scheduled for ———. When there is no possible way for me to make that time. Wake up to the fact that not all patients are always available 24-7 to take whatever appointment the reception staff decides to scheduled for them when following g up with a specialist referral.

  • The signage is not that clear for some folks. It says to check in by the elevators, but I and two others in the waiting room assumed the check in on the first floor by the elevators was the check-in, and we did not check in on the second floor again. We were all waiting in the waiting room for about 15 minutes before we started to investigate and realized we hadn't officially checked in on the second floor. I imagine we are not the only three who have had this problem. The person who took her temperature could easily tell people to check in again on the second floor

  • Hannah Raymond is AMAZING! She is compassionate, informative & sincere. She is COMPLETELY engaged with what I am talking to her about. She listens carefully, NEVER interrupts and comes back with her thoughts and recommendations after all is said. She truly is a gem. For such a young girl she totally understands life and I am so happy that she takes such wonderful care of me.

  • I was called on time, so that was great. The first person who called to get my health information seemed very rushed, and just kept quickly reading the questions (to me it was kind of cold and impersonal - like she just wanted to get through the script, and nothing else). The NP was just the opposite though; she was caring and listened; she did not rush me through at all. She really seemed to care, and took the time to listen, to answer my questions, and to tell me what I needed to know. The NP took away the frustration I felt from the first call. Thank you.

  • This was a phone visit. I had questions about a problem that I was having with my ear that I had some water of fluid in it, and I need to know how to get rid of it. And plus I couldn't hear it all and Hannah was very helpful and very clear and concise about what I should do and I can see that it's already helping me.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
