About Gregory Bormes
Dr. Gregory Bormes graduated with his Bachelor of Arts in Biology from Saint Louis University in St. Louis, MO. He then furthered his medical expertise, graduating with this Master of Science degree in Physiology from Georgetown University in Washington, D.C. Dr. Bormes then earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from Georgetown University Medical School. Dr. Bormes chose to train at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, IL, where he completed his general surgery Internship, followed by his residency in general surgery and plastic surgery. Dr. Bormes is certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery.
Dr. Bormes clinical interests include breast reconstruction, breast reduction, excision of skin cancer, reconstruction after Mohs, flap reconstruction of complex wounds, body contouring after bariatric surgery, breast augmentation, abdominoplasty, rhinoplasty, facelifts, eyelid surgery and facial rejuvenation.
His personal philosophy of care is rooted in caring for his patients as a whole person. He strives to heal each patient’s physical ailment to the best of his ability while reducing the emotional stress that each patient may feel. To Dr. Bormes, there is nothing greater than being able to help his patients move towards better health and a sense of wholeness.
When not at work, Dr. Bormes enjoys spending time with his wife and their seven beautiful children. In addition, he enjoys sailing, hiking, reading, woodworking and traveling to new places.
