About Felicia Barreto MD
Dr. Felicia Barreto graduated from the Boston University School of Medicine. She completed her residency at the Tufts University Family Residency at the Cambridge Health Alliance. As part of her residency, she completed special concentrations in psychiatry in primary care and medical care of underserved populations.
She has been awarded numerous awards and citations including an excellence in teaching award during her residency and an honor for excellence in Family Medicine from the Boston University School of Medicine. She was awarded the Glasgow-Rubin Citation for Academic Achievement from the American Medical Women’s Association.
Dr. Barreto is a member of the American Medical Association, the American Academy of Family Physicians, the Massachusetts Medical Society and the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
Her special interests include pediatric and adolescent medicine and diabetes care.
She has served as a volunteer staff physician in a student-run free medical clinic, as a member of the medical crew for the Avon Breast Cancer 3-Day Walk, at sports games at Malden High School, and as a health care advisor, advocate, and guest lecturer at the Messiah Baptist Church in Brockton, Ma.

Appointment time seems to be a stressor at times to physicians. They want to hear everything that you have to say but much the time carefully because there are other patients waiting to be seen.
I loved that I could schedule my own short appointment, and quickly too! Dr. Barreto is fantastic, kind, smart and a great listener. Her staff is very nice too. No complaints at all :-)
Dr Barreto is the PCP for myself, daughter and son-in-law and we absolutely trust her ?. She listens to our concerns, and discuss the options of treatment. She actually saved my life insisting I do a lung screening test as I was a former smoker. I did have lung cancer and needed surgery to remove half of my left lung. She's the best physician I ever had.

My medical needs were met within hours. The communication that I received from the office was superb, including follow-up the following day, reviewing my blood work and further instructions from the doctor via the nurse.

I was taken extremely timely. The first person I spoke with or the intake person who brought me from the waiting room inside was extremely happy and talkative and she knew what I was there for. Once I was in the room waiting for the doctor, she came in quickly and per usual, she always knows everything about me down to my hopes and dreams for my career. So very well informed doctor and very thorough. And that's about it.
