Dr. Blanchard earned her medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine and completed a residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in hematology/oncology at Boston Medical Center.

She is board certified in internal medicine, medical oncology and hematology.

Dr. Blanchard cares for patients with all varieties of hematologic and oncologic diseases and has special interests in lung cancer, clinical research and supportive care.

  • Yeah, the the rep from the receptionist to the nurse and then the doctor. They were very friendly to me. And I think that (INAUDIBLE), they were timely. And efficient in what they got to do. Thank you.

  • The woman who greeted me at the front door was so kind and caring, I am fortunate to have be experiencing treatment for cancer at this time like so many of your patients and if I were, she would make me at ease walking into the building. The woman who checked me in was very friendly and professional but she needs help. My appointment was about 50 minutes late, but I was glad to give up some time so that someone with a serious medical issue could have more time with Dr. Blanchard. As I was waiting, there were up to 6 people waiting to be checked in. One woman wasn't even able to stand in line so was so uncomfortable, luckily there were benches that she could sit on while waiting. My overall impression of the office was very good. I want to thank all of the staff who assist some of the most venerable people in our community. The office appeared to be very Covid-safe. I am fortunate to work from home during the pandemic, our healthcare workers are my heroes.

  • Dr. Blanchard listened to all my medical concerns. She agreed to personally contact my daughter about my worsening condition and change in medication.She ordered the new medication for me, and stopped the old medication.Medication information was included in the report I took home.

Everyone was incredibly patient and kind, as I nervously spouted nonsense and babbled endlessly; I can't tell you how appreciative I was that I wasn't ignored but subtly helped to relax. Wonderful staff who didn't appear annoyed at me, thank you.

  • The doctor was great. I had no problems with her. She was a late little bit late to the appointment and but the interaction that I had as a patient with Dr. Blanchard was excellent. My biggest frustration with the whole experience was that the building was not well marked as hematology. It was just Cancer Center Oncology and I had a lot of difficulty finding where I was supposed to be going which resulted in a lot of me feeling flustered and frustrated even before I had the appointment.

  • My tele visit was 30 minutes late. It would have been nice to have it communicated that the Dr was running late. Not being in the office, I wasn't sure if my appointment was forgotten.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
