About Didi Theva

Dr. Theva earned her medical degree at Boston University School of Medicine, Boston, MA. She then completed an internship in General Surgery and residency in Urology at Boston Medical Center, followed by a fellowship in Incontinence, Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive Urology at the Bladder Health & Reconstructive Urology Institute in Miramar, FL.

Dr. Theva has clinical interests in general urology, urinary incontinence, reconstructive urology, female pelvic medicine and sexual dysfunction. Her goal is to treat urologic issues that affect quality of life and provide robust, evidence-based and personalized urologic care to the community of Southcoast.

Dr. Theva has a passion for global medicine and recently volunteered with surgeons at Nazareth Hospital in Kenya with hopes to continue additional mission work in the near future.

Outside of work, Dr. Theva enjoys spending time with her family, traveling and going to the beach.

  • Everything was great

  • A very professional and compassionate office. No complaints.

  • Staff members were polite and welcoming! The office was clean and nicely decorated. The provider was nice and explained everything to me in regards to my child's care. I didn't have to wait a long time to be called in and to be seen by the provider.

  • Dr. Theva was AMAZING, she explained to me what my issue is and examined my options to me. I felt comforted and heard and left with a better understanding of my nextzteps.

  • Appointment was late, Dr Theva apologized but I was waiting on the table with a paper sheet & my feet in stirrups for way too long I started getting leg cramps & moved them, but this should not have been allowed to happen when the assistant knew it was going to be a long time, I did not have my phone on me so I do not know how long it was but it was not right to be left there in that position

  • I felt that my provider explained my options well and guided me to the treatment best for my particular issue. They cared about my quality of life and listened well.

  • This was my first visit. Dr. did not great me or talk about my medical history.Nurse and receptionist were not very friendly. After speaking with Dr. She and nurse left the room for me to prepare for internal and did not return for what felt like a long time.

  • The performing doctor and the nurse that helped made me feel super comfortable in an uncomfortable situation. I was getting a vasectomy and they made me forget that i was very exposed and nervous...

  • I was taken into office and interviewed by nurse promptly after checking in. However, my dr. Arrived 45 min. After scheduled appt. Time. I totally understand there will be times when drs. Are delayed more than 20-30 min. especially given the present situation in this pandemic where cLinics may be experiencing staffing shortages.My only recommendation would be for staff as a courtesy, to come in if dr. Is delayed more than 20 minutes and explain the delay to the patient and when to expect the dr.When dr. Theva arrived she listened, was attentive to my concerns, and supportive given my anxiety around a recommended surgery.

  • The only thing I would improve its that we waited more than a half an hour in the small exam room for the doctor. Everything else was timely. Everything else was fine. Thank you.

  • Everyone was friendly and business like. In an awkward type of visit I felt comfortable. The Dr explained what she saw and discussed my options. She answered all my questions and even followed up quickly on my chart with a question I thought of after I left the office.

  • The wait was not long at all, maybe 5-10 minutes.The appointment was made to see Dr. [Name] [Name] I was not told I would see Dr. Theva instead ...but I am very pleased with her and I am glad to have seen Dr. Theva. She is very personable and friendly and seems very knowledgeable. If the appointment was a few minutes longer there would be time to ask questions about doctor instructions...The bathroom should be checked and cleaned after a patient has used it.

  • This was the first time I met with Dr. Theva. She was a great listener, competent and I felt we were on the same team. I would highly recommend her and I feel I will be in good hands with her.

  • Staff unprofessional, personal talk among staff members at desk extremely unprofessional. Had the feeling of being rushed , and felt I interrupted their conversation. Patient should always come first and definitely not the feel in this office . Definitely in need of some staff changes .

  • Doc is great nurse is great. person you check out with needs work. She should not be on her personal phone talking while you are standing there. Phones should not be allowed at work. And she should be friendly with a smile not grumpy like she could care less about her job.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
