About Deepthi Deconda

Dr. Deconda earned her medical degree from the Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India. She completed an internship in categorical internal medicine at New York Medical College and a residency in categorical internal medicine at Yale University, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, where she served as a teaching fellow in the division of gastroenterology.

Dr. Deconda is board certified in internal medicine. She is fluent in Telugu and Hindi.

  • Very happy with staff, and Dr. DeConda.

  • More printed information on the procedure using this pillcam. I did not know that I'd need to return eight hours later to return the equipment and that is need to arrive on a Friday afternoon before the office closed early for the day. The prep info was fine.

  • Medical Assistant was pleasant and thorough in reviewing medical history and planning for future testing and appointments. Physician allayed my concerns and provided appropriate guidance and plan for follow-up in six months. Mostly on time, clean office, pleasant staff including receptionist.

  • Dr. DeConda is wonderful. She truly listens to what I have to say about how I am feeling, she is easy to understand and I feel that she has my best interest in mind. We were expecting that my insurance might not want to cover a medicine that was prescribed, she followed up with me in a couple of hours to make sure that I was able to get it filled. Now that is going above and beyond :)

  • It was my first visit and I need to get my med records from my other doctor for her to review. She is very knowledgeable and approachable.

  • It took 3 months to get an appointment - the Dr would not give me comfermation until getting the cat scan - she recieved it one hour after my thursday appointment. it took 7 calls on my part to get a return call - on monday and she seemed distracted and possibly eating a meal. when i questioned her about things i was feeling her response was go to the er. she did comfirm i have diverticularitis from the test - but said to stay on liuid diet. our phone conversation was disconected - after 30 minutes she did not call back. and i had to call again to get her to answer a few more questions - and when she did finally call back i was so angry i forgot a few questions.going to the er in october and having no guidance was terrible and all info online is contridictry.

One of the best doctors I've ever seen actually. Wish she was a GP! Office was quick and nice. In and out quickly. People in the lab very really nice too. Good experience.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
