About Deepthi Deconda

Dr. Deconda earned her medical degree from the Deccan College of Medical Sciences in Hyderabad, India. She completed an internship in categorical internal medicine at New York Medical College and a residency in categorical internal medicine at Yale University, followed by a fellowship in gastroenterology at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, where she served as a teaching fellow in the division of gastroenterology.

Dr. Deconda is board certified in internal medicine. She is fluent in Telugu and Hindi.

  • Dr. Deconda was very,she was very good. I have a extensive GI history dating back on the 25 years and she was just on it. She was able to understand what I was saying, and layman's terms and understand the severity, and actually take the precautions to help me get through this. So I appreciate her. I appreciate her. And her staff, courteous and very professional human beings. Give him credit, please. Build them around. Thank you so much.

  • Everyone was friendly and kind. The doctor was patient and answered all of my questions.

  • Information Desk and Check In/Check Out was a pleasant experience. Very nice staff!Sitting in the waiting room was one of the shortest times I've had, conversely, the Doctor was very generous with her time, answering all questions and outlining the protocol for future visits. Truly, the only improvement would be if the office location was closer to my home.

  • I had this appointment made within a couple of days of a referral from my other, my primary care doctor is, is wonderful and I am really appreciate having the South Coast myChart option because everything's accessible to everyone and I am updated on every lab procedure etcetera.

So I think I gave them a bad number but that was unintended.   • More printed information on the procedure using this pillcam. I did not know that I'd need to return eight hours later to return the equipment and that is need to arrive on a Friday afternoon before the office closed early for the day. The prep info was fine.

  • Medical Assistant was pleasant and thorough in reviewing medical history and planning for future testing and appointments. Physician allayed my concerns and provided appropriate guidance and plan for follow-up in six months. Mostly on time, clean office, pleasant staff including receptionist.

  • Dr. DeConda is wonderful. She truly listens to what I have to say about how I am feeling, she is easy to understand and I feel that she has my best interest in mind. We were expecting that my insurance might not want to cover a medicine that was prescribed, she followed up with me in a couple of hours to make sure that I was able to get it filled. Now that is going above and beyond :)

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
