About Catherine Moretti

Moretti received her Master’s of Physician Assistant degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biology from Smith College in Northampton, Mass.

Moretti’s clinical interests include internal and adolescent medicine. She is also an experienced hospitalist. She is certified by the American Academy of Physician Assistants, of which she is also a member.

She volunteers her time as a host family for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League. She has three sons and three granddaughters and enjoys staying active through dancing, hiking, and gardening. She also enjoys class rock, jazz and blues music.

  • Did not know prior to my physical that lab work now require an appointment and I went to my physical fasting. I had to leave the Fairhaven facility and go to the Westport facility just to get labs drawn same day. Patients with physicals should have a reserved time for labs.

  • The provider seemed less interested in asking me questions about my health, goals, day-to-day life and instead spent the visit lecturing me about my health. It would have been more productive if she spent the time to ask what I eat, what I do for exercise, what my own personal health goals are, etc. She spent the entire visit talking about herself.

  • My first time seeing this provider and I did like her. What I do not like at all is that I was there for my yearly physical and had to make a separate appointment with the lab for blood work. It doesn't make sense and makes it more difficult for the patient. I don't know of anyone else that has to do this when seeing their physician. Early morning appointments are almost never available which makes it even more difficult for those who work.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
