About Catherine Moretti

Moretti received her Master’s of Physician Assistant degree at Eastern Virginia Medical School in Norfolk, Va. She received her Bachelor’s Degree of Science in Biology from Smith College in Northampton, Mass.

Moretti’s clinical interests include internal and adolescent medicine. She is also an experienced hospitalist. She is certified by the American Academy of Physician Assistants, of which she is also a member.

She volunteers her time as a host family for the Bourne Braves of the Cape Cod Baseball League. She has three sons and three granddaughters and enjoys staying active through dancing, hiking, and gardening. She also enjoys class rock, jazz and blues music.

  • Unfortunately I was there for a audiologist referral. After I called for the referral and was told that it would not be until July or August. That was unacceptable. I like the primary office, but I'm not happy with the schedule of southcoast as a health care provider. I went to another provider and already have had my hearing evaluated and have hearing aids. Since my primary doctor has retired, I now need to get a new one and this has made me question what health care provider I will go to.

  • This was a follow-up to an emergency room visit the prior weekend. Catherine, the PA, reviewed my background, listened intently and offered a myriad of alternatives to taking medicine for acid reflux, reactions to certain foods, and back pain. This was the first time in a very long time that someone was actually on my wavelength. She was not condescending about my visit to the emergency room which she understood was justified according to my symptoms, and she helped me carve a path forward in an effort to feel better. Great appointment!

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
