About Britt Sibson

Britt Sibson, FNP-BC earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree at Simmons College in Boston, MA. Previously, she completed her Bachelor of Arts in Development Studies at Brown University, Providence, RI. Britt’s clinical interests include adolescent health and gynecology. She is fluent in both English and Spanish.

Prior to pursuing a career in nursing, Britt traveled around the world, leading study abroad programs for high school students. Britt has always loved meeting new people, listening to their stories and helping them in their times of need. Becoming a nurse practitioner combines her professional goals and personal interests. 

With a vested interest in the South Coast, she has returned home to care for the community that has supported her and her loved ones.

In her free time, Britt enjoys spending time with family and friends, being outdoors, and listening to music.

  • The doctor was very thorough with me and was attentive to all my questions and explained things very well. I was seen in a timely manner and I would definitely recommend this office to any of my family or friends.

  • I feel very comfortable with Britt and she listens and understands me. She is comforting and knowledgeable.

  • I'm not happy that every time I call for a sick visit, which is not often, I am told to go to the Urgent Care or wait 3 days for a sick appt. I have never seen my PCP in years for a sick appt. Again this was a PA. I was seen at Urgent Care twice and they did nothing so had to go to my PCP office. Not very good patient service.

And I've been to her a few times and she's been pretty accurate on telling me what my diagnosis is, and she answers a lot of questions, and I left there feeling stress-free. When I went I was very stressful. So, I found her very helpful and knowledgeable and willing to listen. I have nothing to say about her that would be negative, and I'm pleased to have her as my provider.

  • NP Britt was very nice, attentive to detail, and she listened and offered feedback. I went in for a problem I've waited 2-3 years to discuss with a provider due to stigma surrounding the issue. She was great at making me feel comfortable discussing it with her without attempting to dismiss me thinking I'm trying to con them into right me a controlled substance RX. She was very through in explaining how to manage my health once on the new medication and was very open to questions from me.

  • My annual appointment got rescheduled from my primary to Britt S. I was very happy with how easy it was to reschedule the appointment in a timely manner. And I thought Britt was great. She helped answer all of my questions and addressed all of my concerns in a friendly and easy to understand way.

I didn't know what I had, but she figured it out in a hurry and they took me by ambulance from there to the hospital, which was a great thing that she did because I needed certain medication in a hurry. UNACCEPTABLE.I wait a LONG time on hold to reach a receptionist ehen I call. I have a very difficult time making appts to see my dr. She has very few openings. Im forced to see a PA or NP. There is a real problem with scheduling and having my call answered in a timely fashion.I hope I never have a real emergency because Im afraid I would not get throughto my doctor.

  • ... how to say this thinking, if you don't have anything nice to say --- but you sent a 2nd request so ... in the past, ALL my previous surveys Southcoast has been a solid 10, this time - a not-so-solid 6. I don't want to be a PIA patient, a squeeky wheel and I attribute some of this to Covid fatigue & staff shortages but this is our new normal and it is medical care rationing. My Dr. cancelled on me with no notice, no lab orders were placed, lab results were not reviewed even though some were abnormal, the NP who saw me instead kept me waiting in the exam room >30 min. She WAS professional, knowledgeable & attentive when she finally saw me and we made a plan for moving forward. I'm lucky that I'm mostly healthy & don't need a lot of hand holding because I suppose this is the level of medical care we have to get used to. I can say objectively & honestly after several years of history here, Southcoast is NOT what it used to be and if this was my first & only impression of this practice ... I think I'd be doctor shopping for a more competent experience.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
