About Bridget Royer

Bridget Royer, PA-C is a Urology PA who earned her Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies at Northeastern University in Boston, MA. She has been board certified as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants since 2014. She is licensed in Massachusetts. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants. Prior to this she earned her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of San Diego, California. She then moved to Ireland to complete a Masters in Microbiology at the University College Cork to pursue her interest in research before realizing her true passion was medicine.

Bridget’s special interests include women’s and adolescent health, kidney stones, overactive bladder, low testosterone, hematuria, interstitial cystitis. In addition to this, she enjoys meeting new people and hearing their stories while working together to diagnose and formulate plans to treat their conditions.

Bridget, originally from Portsmouth, RI, has lived all over the country and Ireland. She loves to swim, run, hike, go camping and travel with her friends and family.

  • My visit was absolutely horrendous. I waited 45 minutes to see the provider. I could not understand a word she said and when I went to check out the receptionist was too busy, talking with other receptionists and pay no attention to me. I was extremely upset, I had to call the doctor directly and speak to him. The PA was horrendous. I will never go see her again and I will never deal with the receptionist again that I had to see. It was awful.

  • Bridget Route, PA listened to all my concerns and answered all my questions. She explained the various options to address my problems and provided the information I needed to make the best choices. I feel like I received excellent care.

  • Technician should have explained to me, being a first time patient, what a bladder scan was for and why she was doing it. I was clueless. Had no idea. Went home and googled the procedure.

  • The young lady that we dealt with at the exit desk in this office was very snappy when I asked if we get a print out summary for this visit. I received a very snappy "NO". I then asked if a summary goes to My Chart. A curt "of course" was given. She needs to brush up on her people skills. Never heard this at any provider's check out or phone conversations at South Coast. This is why we stay with South Coast.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
