He completed his residency in family medicine at the Brown University Family Medicine Residency Program at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital, where he served as chief resident.
Dr. Hurteau is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians, American Osteopathic Association, and the Massachusetts Medical Society.
He is a clinical assistant professor of Family Medicine at Brown University and is on the community faculty — Brown Family Practice Residency program.

I presented my medical concern via MyApp prior to office hours and promptly received a phone call from a nurse. I was in a meeting but she left a message to call back. When I did a different nurse listened to my brief summary and quickly scheduled a same day (that morning) appointment. Crisp, understanding, and efficient.
Dr. Hurteau is always emphatic and caring. He is a great listener and always asks if there are any questions or concerns.

I had a appointment with this doctor scheduled for 4/13/2026 and I had to change it because I have an operation on my left foot on 4/10/2026 and this office was able to get me in for my yearly physical before my surgery and everyone was so helpful.

I trust Dr Hurteau. He listens and does a thorough job even though he is extremely busy! He gets a high rating. If you don't trust your Dr, the appointment is worthless. My whole family likes our appointments with Dr Hurteau, and I do too even though I generally am skeptical of Doctors. Hurteau gets a 10!
Our appointments never feel rushed which I think is a common problem in healthcare these days so I appreciate that. I always feel like the care is genuine. I feel like we are always explained in detail any questions or concerns we may have.

Dr. Herto and his team, nurse practitioners, are incredible. I would recommend them to everybody all the time. I'm very sensitive and nervous and have a lot of things going on with me and they are always patient, helpful, and I never feel rushed. And I always feel like they actually care about what's going on. It's always timely and just a pleasant experience for something that is not always a fun thing to do.

A big thanks to Dr.Hurteau & his team at Faunce corner Road Surgery. This was my first (new patient) appointment. I was really impressed by the speedy and polite check-in, my Q&A with the Nurse and then my consultation with the Doctor. Great follow-ups with a confirmed appointment in January along with the raising of my prescription which was available at my pharmacy by lunchtime the same day as my appointment.
