About Amy Medeiros

Amy earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY. She then furthered her medical expertise, earning her Master of Science as a Family Nurse Practitioner. Amy’s clinical interests consist of women’s health, nutrition, and exercise.

Amy started out in primary care before transitioning to gynecology care, which has allowed her to dive deeper and become more focused on health matters that are unique to women. Her philosophy of care is centered around focusing on health promotion and disease prevention, while helping her patients heal holistically from the inside out. She truly believes it is important to share the decision making process between herself and her patients.

When not at work, Amy enjoys doing yoga, running half marathons, and participating in triathlons.

It could have been helpful to have the provider just take a little bit more time. It felt a bit rushed with answering to certain questions and things of that nature. So it would just be helpful if the providers could just slow down a little bit and take some time to answer questions. It's not always the case, but it felt that way this last visit I went.

It was very difficult contacting the office to make an appointment, there were several phone numbers posted. Other than that, availability is the only other complaint I have but I understand the medical field in general has difficulty with availability. My first visit at this office. N.P. Amy Medeiros was fantastic. She explained everything that was going to be done in the visit in complete clarity. She answered my qsts and was never in a rush to get to the end of the appointment. She was compassionate and asked me how I was doing during the physical exam that was at times quite difficult. I couldn't be happier with my care and experience with her and the office in general. Its refreshing to be listened to and respected by your medical professional. Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
