About Albert Lin

Dr. Lin obtained both his undergraduate and medical degree from Brown University, before completing an Internal Medicine residency and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School. Dr. Lin served as a clinical instructor at the medical school and was distinguished as a Chief Cardiology Fellow at Brown University.

Dr. Lin is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He also completed advanced training in Echocardiography and completed his boards in Nuclear Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Lin has a special interest in advanced valvular and structural heart disease. He enjoys swimming, hiking, CrossFit and spending time with his children.

  • He asked all the right questions and listened to what I had to say

  • A telemedicine call is most unusual. Unable to take a BP reading or any kind of cardio testover the phone, it seems to me almost useless. I don’t know if phone calls are charged as anoffice visit. Dr. Lin said he was going to order a BP cuff so I could take my BP at home.On the day following the cardiologist’s call, I spoke to my Urologist. Another impossibility, having a urine sample & prostate exam over the phone. Strange times!

Dr. Lin called me promptly for my appointment, was attentive, listened to my concerns, and explained everything to me.

  • Due to the Covid-19 outbreak, I had a pre-appointment on Friday by phone. Today’s appointment with Dr. Lin was also by phone. Both calls were professional and on time. A follow up call came later today to ask if I would like a hard copy of call. Thank you. I wouldn’t trust my heart to any other team.

  • The Dr. was wonderful,(I would visit him where ever he was practicing), my problem is the distance I travel to visit this facility. Which you can not fix, that is why I gave a 9 and not a 10 in telling others to go to this facility, all my friends live even further away than I do.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
