About Albert Lin

Dr. Lin obtained both his undergraduate and medical degree from Brown University, before completing an Internal Medicine residency and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School. Dr. Lin served as a clinical instructor at the medical school and was distinguished as a Chief Cardiology Fellow at Brown University.

Dr. Lin is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He also completed advanced training in Echocardiography and completed his boards in Nuclear Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Lin has a special interest in advanced valvular and structural heart disease. He enjoys swimming, hiking, CrossFit and spending time with his children.

  • Dr Lintook a lot of time discussing my heart. He said to call if I have any concerns.

  • Dr. Lin helped me understand what was happening with my heart and the pace maker. He explained in detail what my test results meant and pulled up my test results on the computer and explained all to me. This is what I wanted. It has taken almost 2-3 months for me to know what the test results were. I am delighted that I was able to have Dr. Lin as my cardiologist. If not known to “some” doctors, we, the patients have fears when we have no knowledge of test results. Dr. Lin took those fears away.

  • The appointmentfortesting are 6 weeks away. It seems like they could be come sooner.

  • Only gave an 8 because I have not had enough experience with this provider.While I was brought into the office at my appointment time I was not seen by the doctor for over a half hour later. I appreciate and understand that doctors have to take more than the allotted time with some patients but I was beginning to wonder if somehow I had been forgotten. I feel the PA or any other assistant should have poked their head in and let me know that I had not been forgotten.

  • AS INSTRUCTED and being a new patient I arrived 15 min prior to my appt (10:15A) which didn’t seem necessary as I was a Southcoast Pt. After waiting in the waiting area 45min I checked with the receptionist to see if I was forgotten. Within minutes I was called into the exam area. The Dr was cordial and likable but I had the vague feeling I had been “sandwiched “in and he wasn’t very well informed about my case.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
