About Albert Lin

Dr. Lin obtained both his undergraduate and medical degree from Brown University, before completing an Internal Medicine residency and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School. Dr. Lin served as a clinical instructor at the medical school and was distinguished as a Chief Cardiology Fellow at Brown University.

Dr. Lin is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He also completed advanced training in Echocardiography and completed his boards in Nuclear Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Lin has a special interest in advanced valvular and structural heart disease. He enjoys swimming, hiking, CrossFit and spending time with his children.

  • Dr. Lin and his new NP's are wonderful. Just like most of my Dr's in the SouthCoast system, I do not hesitate or get worried about going to see them.

  • Provder was 55 minutes late for my appointment. Southcoast asks for me to arrive 15 minutes early. I live 5 minutes from facility. Is it asking too much for a phone call to reduce a 1 hour and 10 minutes wait , especially during a pandemic?

  • My experiences are always very good BUT the automated calls for appointment reminders at 8 am are intrusive. I'm not even up at that time most days. I hang up on them. It's ridiculous to call people at that hour.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
