About Albert Lin

Dr. Lin obtained both his undergraduate and medical degree from Brown University, before completing an Internal Medicine residency and Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Brown University’s Warren Alpert Medical School. Dr. Lin served as a clinical instructor at the medical school and was distinguished as a Chief Cardiology Fellow at Brown University.

Dr. Lin is American Board Certified in Internal Medicine. He also completed advanced training in Echocardiography and completed his boards in Nuclear Cardiology. He is a member of the American College of Cardiology.

Dr. Lin has a special interest in advanced valvular and structural heart disease. He enjoys swimming, hiking, CrossFit and spending time with his children.

Dr always explains why with recent studies and data that is backed up, for reason for prescribing medication. Answers my questions with detail and medical data. Dr Lin is the most thorough Dr I have seen my entire adult life. He takes his time and entirely in the moment of my appointments. Every time. It is obvious that he takes each persons health seriously and professionally important. He's knowledgeable, well spoken, and for medically confusing concepts, breaks it down into layman's terms so I feel confident in my choices to take the best care of myself.

My concerns and questions were answered. All staff were pleasant and professional. I prefer to see Dr. Lin for my appointments rather than a nurse practitioner, so my 6 month appointment turned out to be an 8 month appointment. The receptionist also said she would put a note on my record that I prefer to see the Doctor when I come to the office - very accommodating. Thank you for this opportunity to share my experience.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
