About Albert Fox

Dr. Fox is a graduate of Yale University and the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine. He completed his residency in otolaryngology at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He then completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Missouri.

Dr. Fox has a strong interest in treatment of head and neck skin cancer, reconstruction of facial defects, and facial trauma. He also has a strong interest in the treatment of sinus disease and general otolaryngology problems.

Dr. Fox volunteers his services with Face to Face, a non-profit, humanitarian organization that provides care to those who suffer from facial deformities caused by birth or trauma. Dr. Fox has travelled to China and Vietnam with Face to Face to provide care for patients and education for physicians.

He is dual board-certified in otolaryngology and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Fox was also awarded the prestigious Best of the Best 2021 title for plastic surgery by SouthCoast Media Group.

[Name], have monitored and will finish it up in Sept, It has been very stubborn at healing; a skin graft did not work as I am on steroids for other conditions and the skin is a challenge. Avery time we see this team they are A+. DR. Fox is well known where we live as NO ONE on the Cape can do what he does; he is very skilled and really has cared for me well.

  • Seems like all skin specialists are overbooked or understaffed. Usually wait 45mins - 1 hr.

  • I was informed during check-in that the doctor was running up to an hour late. I did see him 45 minutes after my scheduled time, but felt less annoyed because I had been told about the delay.

  • Dr. Fox was nearly an hour late for an early morning appointment. He didn't acknowledge this and no reason was given. A simple "we're sorry" would have gone a long way. Patients' time and schedules are valuable, too. Others in the office didn't seem to care and also didn't apologize. Based on comments from them, it seemed to be a common occurrence. The medical assistant and the check out lady didn't have Southcoast Health badges visible anywhere. The medical assistant didn't state her name either. I thought they were supposed to wear badges and it would be nice if they at least introduced themselves. Dr. Fox seems to be a very skilled and knowledgeable doctor. With a little consideration for the patients, I would have rated higher.

  • The wait time could be improved.The staff and dr. were pleasant and gave me all the information I needed.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
