About Albert Fox

Dr. Fox is a graduate of Yale University and the University Of Connecticut School Of Medicine. He completed his residency in otolaryngology at Upstate Medical University in Syracuse, NY. He then completed a fellowship in facial plastic and reconstructive surgery at the University of Missouri.

Dr. Fox has a strong interest in treatment of head and neck skin cancer, reconstruction of facial defects, and facial trauma. He also has a strong interest in the treatment of sinus disease and general otolaryngology problems.

Dr. Fox volunteers his services with Face to Face, a non-profit, humanitarian organization that provides care to those who suffer from facial deformities caused by birth or trauma. Dr. Fox has travelled to China and Vietnam with Face to Face to provide care for patients and education for physicians.

He is dual board-certified in otolaryngology and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery.

Dr. Fox was also awarded the prestigious Best of the Best 2021 title for plastic surgery by SouthCoast Media Group.

  • Dr Fox and his staff were very nice. Front desk staff were not so pleasant when making appointment for Xray. Abrupt- she asked which facility would I like to go to. I changed my mind (before she called to make appt) she seemed like it was a big deal to go to Tobey instead of St Lukes. I live in [Name], so [Name] was a better choice of location.

  • Time delay impacted my work schedule. A phone call to inform of the delay would have been helpful

  • Receptionist were all courteous, polite, and helpful. Dr. Fox and [Name](RN) were beyond nice and patient with explaining everything to me thoroughly and answer all my questions. I felt comfortable and reassured during my entire appointment.

  • My only issue with yesterday's appointment with Dr. Fox is that I waiting for over 45 minutes for a 4:00 appointment.

  • Hi. I was asked to arrive 15 minutes early, which I did for my appointment , and after doing that, I waited a half an hour after my appointment to see the doctor. So that's one of the longest waits, thank goodness that I've had at South Coast. So, and he was very busy. It wasn't, it wasn't like he was doing nothing but it would have been nicer to if I didn't have to wait a half an hour and in one case someone that got there after I did got in before I did, I didn't appreciate that either but anyway, the doctor himself was outstanding and and the people that assisted me when they finally did, were also outstanding okay, that's it. Thank you, bye.

  • Waited 45 minutes to see the doctor. They didn't have access to pathology reports which were the reason for my visit despite 4 months elapsing from the referral.

  • I am Practice Manager for a busy office and I would hire the staff I interacted with in a minute. They were attentive and dedicated to helping their patients

  • Therefore many signs about the wait time. Know that they are busy but this might be area of improvement. The doctor had answers to questions asked and knew background. Was pleased.

  • Good evening. Yes. Everything went well today with Dr. Albert Fox. I haven't seen him in like 9 years. And you push my appointment up a good 6 weeks, which is very important to my health. Because my health I haven't been feeling well when my health, you know when my shoulder might by my ringing in my ear, so I was so happy to see him and he did all the good things yesterday for me that very helpful to me. What direction I should take moving forward and get me a new appointments and order me some medication and over the counter medicine team is that would help me and I'm so thankful for that. I am so blessed that I got in and I'm so glad that you took care of me yesterday. I'd like a be more thankful for that. So I'm very pleased.

  • Every staff member I dealt with were extremely professional and helpful....we even had a few laughs that greatly diminished my anxiety about having a procedure done. Dr. Fox spent a good deal of time ( which was not the case in the previous two offices I visited) and explained the procedures throughly in addition to why each one would be necessary based on my Mohs surgery. I feel confident with him as my surgeon. The secretaries/administrative assistants were all very helpful in scheduling all my appointments including coordinating with my other surgeon. One even drew me diagrams of the hospital areas I would need to visit for my pre op & COVID-19 test. I would highly recommend this group of professionals.

  • I understand its hard when you have television but I did have to wait 45min to see the Dr. He did apoligize, but that was a little long none the same. He did help me but it seems my exam was pretty fast. All in all tho he was nice.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
