  • It was fine. Routine annual after a valve replacement with no issues.

  • On time, polite, knowledgeable, thorough.Explained procedures that might be necessary in my treatment plan that I could understand.

  • Helped arrange appointment with another specialist required to evaluate another health issue.

  • I'm always happy when I have an appointment with South Coast. They're always so ... they welcome you just so much. They treat you so kind and they're all the same. They all very nice to you and I'm always recommending them.

  • Could not have done anything better! The receptionist and nurse were both very polite and helpful. Dr. Saltzman was very insightful and caring. I could tell he took the time to really study my situation and did a great job informing me on what he truly thought is the best next move. With my health situation being a severe one, and one he considered less common here in the states, he was humble enough in referring me to a cardio specialist who he saw most fit to take on my case. He really made me feel like I was in good hands and that his team of specialists were going to make sure I received the best medical attention available in the area. Can't speak highly enough about everyone who's dedicating their time and energy to my betterment. I'm grateful for them all and commend for all that they do!

  • He explained clearly what my options are

  • everything is great, can't think of anything on how to improve when everything is 100 percent.

  • Dr. Saltzman took time to travel to try to pull together a complicated medical history and seems very on point with his assessment of what is going on. I greatly appreciate his expertise.

  • The cardiology group at Charlton Hospital is excellent. [Name], Dr Saltzman,u00A0u00A0[Name] and their staff are the best, they have taken such good care of me over the years.

  • Very informative,Answered questions accurately that I could not previously get answered by a different doctor.

  • Very well. Answered my questions for me.

  • Seen promptly. In trying to get tests prior to needed surgery there is a great time delay. Frustrating that other providers cannot provide sooner appointments for patients in need

  • Appt was timely, they took time to explain options , they heard my anxiety and frustration with the delay in having the procedure

  • We were led to believe my Wife would be allow to attend my pre op discussion with Dr Saltzman! She was not and we're told hospital policy! Two people fully vaccinated with mast, no symptoms, never had Covid, can't meet with the Doctor who will do a Heart procedure on Her Husband? Me? You can't give us a good reason not to speak with both of us!

  • We had an informative conversation and I feel that the doctor has a plan that is solid and will provide the results I seek!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Great

  • Very pleased overall

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
