  • It was a very good experience. The provider was the doctor Addo. Is very knowledgeable and has a good way with elderly people. It was a very good experience.

  • Dr was running behind. I arrived at the office waiting area of the doctor 10 minutes early. After waiting for 20 minutes after my appointment time and not being acknowledged by any office staff I went to the office window knocked and told the person sitting at the desk that I had an appointment time 20 minutes ago and wanted to know how much longer it would be. I was told then that the doctor was running late. I should have been told that before I had to ask. Apparently my time means nothing!

  • I had not seen a Docter since DR.[Name] left. My new DR.Addo was kind and thorough. I like that the office checks up on me monthly by the phone to see that I.m doing ok.

  • Nothing wrong with tele health but it will be better that the doctor examined the patient in person.

  • I have no suggestions for improving experience. Dr. Addo is a patient, caring, knowledgable clinician and I am very grateful she is my PCP. She takes plenty of time with me; I do not always agree with her plan, she listens and works with me; making clear risks of not doing certain things. I cannot recommend her highly enough!! Thank you Dr. Addo.PS I do not usually do surveys; but this was different because of the care provider.

  • I had a great visit with Dr. Addo. She was very thorough, but as to the covid vaccine and hospitals not being able to administer it. I think that's a big misstep on the part of the state. Thank you.

  • This is the first time that I did anything online like this, the tele health and it certainly went I really had no idea what I was doing and the doctor was really wonderful about setting it up and explaining and going through the whole process, and it really turned out to be a very fast economical and nice way to do it. So I was very happy with the way the whole system went and now I'm very very happy about the whole experience. Thank you.

She is excellent in every way.

  • Dr. Addo always listens, asks relevant questions, knows my history and takes the time to explain and discuss.

  • The doctor that I talked with and the girls in the office are thorough and ask important questions that I could answer.

  • My appointment was for a physical. To me that means an in person visit checking blood pressure and listening to heart and lungs etc.Yearly physical should be in person appointment.

  • Dr. Addo is a wonderful doctor whose advice and judgment I trust completely. I asked her about a disagreement between my optometrist and eye surgeon about whether I should have laser surgery (not my idea), and the advice she gave me in lay language was to the point and very helpful to me. I had been stumped about what to do next, but can now see a way forward.

  • Very pleased with my primary, always listens ,kind , caring. Professionally knowledgeable , suggests consultations as she feels it is warranted and explains what she feels plan of care should be. Very happy as her patient.

  • Given the COVID-19 situation, the telehealth visit was a good option. We switched from phone to facetime. I prefer having video because I think it improves communication. Dr. Addo was very aware of my health record and made a plan with me for follow-up appointments.

  • Dr is a good listener and easy to talk to! The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

  • Great teamwork between doctor and everyone else on the office. Also I always feel as though I am on good hands with this doctor.

  • The facility is clean and easy to get to. Promptly calls with appointment reminders and changes to scheduling.

  • Yes, Dr. Addo is quite precise and she wants everything done for the best for my health and she's always on top of my test results, which is wonderful and if there's any need to fit to change my prescription, she's right there.*

  • Dr Abena Addi is wonderful and highly recommended

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
