Dr. Addo earned her medical degree at the University of Ghana Medical School. She then completed an internship in pediatrics, surgery and internal medicine at the Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital in Ghana, followed by an internal medicine internship at St. Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Addo completed her residency in internal medicine at St. Agnes Hospital.
Dr. Addo is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine. Her clinical interests include travel medicine and preventive care. She is a member of the American College of Physicians and the International Society of Travel Medicine

It seemed like Dr. Addo listen to me at this appointment. Other appointments seemed like she wasn't really listening to me

Follow up visit went well ….no wait, staff /Dr. we're very pleasant.. no real issues .. went over meds and upcoming appointments to schedule with other providers and scheduled next visit.
I always feel that when my appointment begins the doctor soends at least 5-10 minutes looking over my file. I answer the same questions over and over. As a former teacher who had to be prepared for 4-5 classes per day I wish the doctor would look at my file ahead of time and be somewhat prepped for my visit.
No improvement needed. The appointment process went smoothly and communication between doctor and patient was with much understanding and respect.

I had a 9.45 appointment. I didn't get seen until, I didn't get called into the office until after 10 o'clock. I was there about 9.30. I had to also sit into the little exam room for an awful long time. If they could be quicker with seeing the patients instead of making them wait forever, it would be a great improvement. Thank you.

Dr Abeena Addo is always meticulous in reviewing notes, listening carefully to, my questions, provides understandable answers, takes prompt action to schedule tests where in her opinion are warranted, very kind and caring.

Support staff should at the very least be somewhat personable to the patients. Whoever the person was who recorded my weight, blood pressure and did intake questions could not have been any more disinterested and actually colder if she tried.
