  • Nothing I wouldn't change nothing

  • Allowed enough time to go over my bloodwork and listened to me.

  • Listening is a good way to provide a culture of medical care.

  • Not insist on filling out annoying surveys would improve the experience.

  • Like that nurse gets most of your present problems, before Docters call..saves time and helps you remember very clear in what she needs to know and patient with you.Covered a lot of things .If you don't have something to show her,no need to go into office. This is a great service for us seniors. Thank you.

  • Dr.Addo is always very good

  • Doctor seemed stressed and not much office staff but it was a 7:45 appt

  • My provider took the time to listen to me and did not make me feel as though I were taking up her time. She was thorough in her explanations to me and I left feeling that everything I wanted to discuss was covered.

  • I think Dr. Abena is the greatest, we did the duo conversation, so I could see her, so it was a lot better than just talking on the phone. I think she's really good, okay bye.

  • Everyhing.polite, called ahead and ontime.knew what was going on with my health.did not push ,let me make my own choice. Great job. Thank you.

  • I am very pleased with Southcoast Family Medicine. The provider is very professional and compassionate. Dr. Addo answers all my questions and explains everything very well. The staff is very caring and willing to help with all concerns.

  • Efficient check-in, low wait times were good. Fast and comprehensive "annual checkup" procedures made for a smooth visit.

  • Dr Addo and her team are exceptional and dedicated "big heart" care givers! After being in the hospital for 3 weeks due to covid and receiving care from a rotating medical staff, it is an incredible feeling of hope to be surrounded with consistent sound direction of expert coordinated NEXT LEVEL CARE!

  • I believe I called in November to make appointment, had to wait until April.

  • This was my first contact with my new Primary Care provider. She was very easy to talk to and I look forward to actually meeting her.

  • (INAUDIBLE) nice health, very (INAUDIBLE), very nice and very nice polite people.

  • Dr. Addo is concept professional who is knowledgeable in my specific here and often recommends what I need to improve. She is courteous and knowledgeable easy to speak with and I consider myself fortunate to have her as my general practitioner.

  • It was a very good experience. The provider was the doctor Addo. Is very knowledgeable and has a good way with elderly people. It was a very good experience.

  • Dr was running behind. I arrived at the office waiting area of the doctor 10 minutes early. After waiting for 20 minutes after my appointment time and not being acknowledged by any office staff I went to the office window knocked and told the person sitting at the desk that I had an appointment time 20 minutes ago and wanted to know how much longer it would be. I was told then that the doctor was running late. I should have been told that before I had to ask. Apparently my time means nothing!

  • I had not seen a Docter since DR.[Name] left. My new DR.Addo was kind and thorough. I like that the office checks up on me monthly by the phone to see that I.m doing ok.

  • Nothing wrong with tele health but it will be better that the doctor examined the patient in person.

  • I have no suggestions for improving experience. Dr. Addo is a patient, caring, knowledgable clinician and I am very grateful she is my PCP. She takes plenty of time with me; I do not always agree with her plan, she listens and works with me; making clear risks of not doing certain things. I cannot recommend her highly enough!! Thank you Dr. Addo.PS I do not usually do surveys; but this was different because of the care provider.

  • I had a great visit with Dr. Addo. She was very thorough, but as to the covid vaccine and hospitals not being able to administer it. I think that's a big misstep on the part of the state. Thank you.

  • I met Dr.Abena Addo for the first time and I think she is wonderful. She is very thorough and has a great personality. I look forward to her being my new physician.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
