About A. Aris Skaliotis

Aris earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. He then attended the New England School of Acupuncture earning his Master’s Degree in Acupuncture. Aris then furthered his medical expertise earning his Master of Science degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Northeastern University in Boston, MA. He began working in pulmonary and internal medicine in 2006. His clinical interests include Asthma, COPD, chronic cough and sleep apnea.

Aris’ personal philosophy of care is centered around taking the time to listen and treat his patients with respect.

Outside of work Aris enjoys music, cooking and time with his family and traveling. In addition, Aris is fluent in Greek.

As this was my first appointment with this provider, I really didn't know what to expect, but I was, I think, a little more relieved and felt better after the appointment was over. I was quickly seen. I was welcome to speak and, you know, it just seemed to be what I needed for an appointment and now tests are going to follow and then we'll go from there. I've been going to this provider for many years. If I was not pleased with the health care that I receive, I would not be going there. So I don't know why these surveys, what the deal with these surveys are. I'm very pleased with Dr. Scaliotis and the staff there. They are outstanding. I only go to the best doctors around. If they do not treat me well or listen, I don't go back. But they are definitely a 10 plus. Thank you.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
