The 42nd Annual New Bedford Half Marathon takes place Sunday, March 17, and the race will affect Streets surrounding St. Luke’s during the hours of 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. to accommodate the race.

The New Bedford Police Department has recommended two alternate routes for patients and visitors:

  • If you’re eastbound, take Rt. 195 E to the Penniman Street exit, turn right on County Street, turn right on Parker Street, turn left on Cottage Street, turn right on Hawthorn Street, and turn left on Page Street.
  • If you’re westbound, take Rt. 195 W to the Downtown exit, head south on Rt. 18, turn right onto Rt. 6 to Mill Street, turn left on Cottage Street, turn right on Hawthorn Street, and turn left on Page Street.

If at all possible, patients should time their visit for either before the road closure or following it.

Good luck runners!
