Prior to entering private practice, Dr. Ryback undertook several field research projects in Africa and Nepal that addressed HIV/AIDS awareness, tuberculosis treatment and controlling diarrheal diseases.

He is board certified in internal medicine.

When I signed in and everything went well, though. Woman there was very professional and courteous. And then the nurse that took me back to the exam room. I was also very polite and very punctual. I mean I did not sit down in a chair at all. It was just minutes before I went in and just a few minutes after taking my blood pressure Dr. Ryback came in and then I had a good visit with Dr. Ryback.

There are many things that were done well. The visit was professional,efficient, and top notch in every respect. The people I interacted with were polite, extremely competent, and caring as they asked pertinent questions and listened well. The only negative is not unique to this visit but to health care in general in SE Mass and that is we are finding a stressed system that lacks enough people, time, and in general resources to be responsive to patients when they are sick. Again this opinion reflects on health care in our area of Mass overall. It is also not unique to the health care sector . The people I interacted with in this visit are the strength of our health care system.

Was called into the office in a timely manner.The nursing assistant took my vitals and went over my medication list. Dr Ryback performed the examine, completely reviewing my current health and fitness status. He not only asked questions, but also listened to my concerns. When I told him about my knee pain he suggested an x-ray if I would like; which I had done at a nearby South Coast Health facility within the hour.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
