About Katrina Roi

Dr. Katrina Roi graduated Magna Cum Laude with her Bachelor of Arts degree from Dartmouth College in Hanover, NH. Dr. Roi earned her medical degree from the Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in Providence, RI. She completed her medical training at the Brown Family Medicine Residency where she was a chief resident. She speaks advanced Spanish and French.

Dr. Roi’s clinical interests are in reproductive health, sports medicine, and medication-assisted treatment for substance use disorders. Her personal philosophy of care is focused on partnering with her patients to improve their health and achieve their goals. She is committed to providing medically up-to-date, compassionate care.

When not at work, Dr. Roi enjoys gardening, eating homegrown vegetables, reading novels, and taking her Australian Cattle Dog for hikes.

Dr Roi is a terrific listener. She addresses all aspects of the visit with the patient as a partner. I have had both Dr Roi and Dr Shube as my primary care and both provide great care. Thank you!Improvements: difficult finding an opening in the schedule for annual physical based on a 12 month return. First available was well beyond 12 month timeframe. During my wait for appt multiple patients looking for a different office came into the front of the building. Office staff had to direct them out of the bldg to the correct location. I believe it was to the rear of the bldg.

This was my first face to face visit with Dr Roi & I must say I was thrilled with the appointment. I had the same doctor for the past 20 years who retired & I must admit I was a bit unsure of starting over with someone new but I could not be more pleased than I am after spending time with Dr Roi. Dr Roi is terrific!! So glad she is my primary. My issues are with front desk staff. Have yet to meet a friendly one. In my opinion, no concern for patients, just a few women doing a job, watching the clock for end of shifts.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
