About Jason Salter DO
Dr. Salter earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, after which he completed an internship and residency in family medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. He serves as an assistant professor of community and family medicine at the Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University.
Dr. Salter’s clinical interests include preventive medicine and nutrition, as well as health education.
He is board certified in family medicine.

Great dr but should not be time restricted by insurance.
The support staff and the nurse that checked me in was very polite, professional, and courteous. Dr. Salter is always working in a timely manner. He explains everything with detail and always makes me feel very comfortable at every visit and always really listens to my needs.
Very timely taking me for my appointment, always courteous, treating me like I'm the only patient there, and all staff that saw me were very patient....

The office staff were all polite and professional. It seemed to be a very well run office environment. I was very impressed with Dr. Salter. He was kind, knowledgeable and demonstrated that he cared about you as a person. He even asked me what I did for fun. My sister was also present and she is a retired RN… she was very impressed and felt I had an excellent primary physician to meet my needs.

I am always greeted at the window with respect and smiles. The offices are always clean as well as the examining rooms. The nurse that takes all my vitals is always pleasant and caring. My Dr, Jason D Salter, well there are no words to describe him! I can't use any words, other than amazing, compassionate, caring, and always open to my questions. Never, ever is a question stupid to him. I just can't say enough about him! My husband and I feel truly safe with our health in the hands of Dr. Jason D Salter. I typically use MyChart to communicate with my doctor between appointments and they always get back to me right away. They always answer all my questions. Dr. Salter always listens to me when I'm in the office and have any concerns and I'm just very, very happy with the care I get with Dr. Salter's office.

Dr salter listens and is attuned to patients needs better than any other primary care I've ever had before. He does not talk down or dismiss patient's concerns. I do not think that the time allowed for short visits is enough. Just a simple yes or no response to questions is not enough time… especially for the elderly like myself who wants and has a "NEEDS to know" what is going on and lives alone.
