About Jason Salter DO
Dr. Salter earned his medical degree from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine, after which he completed an internship and residency in family medicine at Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island. He serves as an assistant professor of community and family medicine at the Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University.
Dr. Salter’s clinical interests include preventive medicine and nutrition, as well as health education.
He is board certified in family medicine.

Dr. Jason Salter is an exemplary PC primary care provider. He is an attentive listener and provides great guidance and feedback to his patients. He takes his time, reviews all medical records, and is very explicit in sharing advice and guidance.
Everyone was friendly. Felt welcomed and like everyone that I interacted with cares about my health.
Dr. Salter is personable, understanding, and incredibly easy to talk to. I always feel heard and supported during my visits. I feel very lucky to him as my PCP.
I just want to emphasize that Dr. Salter was extremely attentive, extremely knowledgeable, and very, very helpful. And I can't recommend him any highly. As always, he is my primary doctor, and I am well satisfied and really entitled in having him as my primary doctor.

Dr. Jason Salter always takes the time to listen and not rush my appointment with him. Which means a lot to me as I have some serious health issues. Dr. Salter is like an old friend who you feel comfortable with sharing some sensitive regarding my health. I recommended my husband to see him and Dr. Salter felt honored! I am always greeted at the window with respect and smiles. The offices are always clean as well as the examining rooms. The nurse that takes all my vitals is always pleasant and caring. My Dr, Jason D Salter, well there are no words to describe him! I can't use any words, other than amazing, compassionate, caring, and always open to my questions. Never, ever is a question stupid to him. I just can't say enough about him! My husband and I feel truly safe with our health in the hands of Dr. Jason D Salter. He has always kind and understanding to our needs. I can honestly say each and every time I walk out of the office I feel like I am on the right track to a better me.

I typically use MyChart to communicate with my doctor between appointments and they always get back to me right away. They always answer all my questions. Dr. Salter always listens to me when I'm in the office and have any concerns and I'm just very, very happy with the care I get with Dr. Salter's office.

Dr salter listens and is attuned to patients needs better than any other primary care I've ever had before. He does not talk down or dismiss patient's concerns. I do not think that the time allowed for short visits is enough. Just a simple yes or no response to questions is not enough time… especially for the elderly like myself who wants and has a "NEEDS to know" what is going on and lives alone.
