About Tara Bronson

Tara Bronson, MSN, FNP, earned her Master of Science in Nursing, Family Nurse Practitioner degree at the University of Rhode Island in Kingstown, R.I. Bronson has been certified to practice by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners National Certification Program and is licensed to practice in both Rhode Island and Massachusetts as a Family Nurse Practitioner.

Bronson works with all ages of the spectrum from birth to geriatric care, with a special interest in women’s health. She previously worked as a Registered Nurse in Fall River for more than 12 years, starting as a bedside nurse on a Medical-Surgical Floor and ending her career there working in management as a Patient Care Supervisor.

Bronson was born in Newport and has lived on Aquidneck Island her entire life. She has a vested interest in the health and wellbeing of her community and the patients that she treats. She loves to travel, enjoys yoga and has a special interest in organic living and sustainability.

  • It was supposed to be a Tele Health visit, we had a bad connection ended up talking on the phone which was okay. I felt this person was not my personal doctor, I'm sure she tried her hardest, but I feel I was just renewing prescriptions, and there was no way for her to really assess my health on the phone. So for me, it really wasn't, it was a waste of time, because I knew what I needed, I was making appointment to see my own doctor, and it was just a formality, because she learned nothing about the medications that I needed other than what I told her. So thank you.

  • She wasn't my normal provider. She didn't know my history which is understandable however she was going to change my medication and didn't even know my name

  • While I rate the provider high. I am now at the third experience with the front desk that is awful. This time I sat for 30 plus minutes for a second dose of a shingles shot. The sign says to go up if you are 15 minutes past your time so I felt it was ok. Another desk person jumped up to go in back and the woman who signed me in said oh I put you with someone who is off today as if somehow this is my issue. The woman who came to get me was mortified as she had no idea I was waiting and I assured her this was not her fault. This person has also done this to my husband twice - and usually blames the computer. It gags unnecessary stress and drama not even related to anything else .

  • Rooms were nice and clean and new and private too. Before your recent renovation in this building, you could hear conversations from the next room. So much for patient privacy!

Tara Bronson was my provider I saw twice then she was gone and had a telehealth check up with dr [Name] Then Tara was back (understand she was on a covid team) but when they called they kept saying I was a new patient for Tara. Couldn't seem to get through to anyone that I wasn't a new patient. But all was fine the day of the visit and Tara is great. Just a little concerned about the tracking system and no one seemed to know my history.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
