  • The provider is excellent! Amazing, very educated, and caring. Pesonable, knowledgeable and knows what to do, unlike other providers. South coast heath organization however, is not a great company and I would not refer any one I know or especially care about to them. The system is a mess, the providers seem unable to be able to communicate with each other, and my chart is often full of incorrect information. Getting appointments is often difficult. There are some wonderful doctors in the company that would be able to provide better services if they were not part of South Coast Heath. It is my hope the owners look at their standards and policies and consider a better way to practice. Allowing Doctors and patients better heath care.

  • In this unprecedented time Tele health medicine is the office visit! Sarah Souza, NP at Neurology in Dartmouth has provided professional, knowledgeable, and supportive patient care. Ms.Souza NP is caring and kind. After a traumatic incident in 2018 whereby I was rendered unconscious after being hit by a motor vehicle (in the crosswalk at my workplace),Ms.Souza has been exceptional in her knowledge of head injury, post concussion syndrome, and referrals to required therapies which allowed me to return to work! Tele health should never replace office visit going forward with the exception of a Pandemic. Seeing Ms.Souza face to face via Tele health was reassuring. Front office person was kind and accommodating for future appointment. Billing office handled inquiries and requests in a friendly and courteous manner.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
