  • I was seen right away. I was even very early for my appt.

  • Since it was my first time meeting with Dr. Schwengel, I had some initial anxiety, but that past quickly when we started to talk. He is friendly, attentive and understanding of my condition. He explained the NM Stress Test in detail and answered all of my questions.

  • I have no recommendations at this time

  • They did fine.

  • A fabulous cardiologist!

  • Starting with reception desk, they are very friendly and helpful. The assistants are also very friendly and kind. Wait time for the Dr. to come in is short, I've never had to wait more than a few minutes. I've been with my Dr. for 5 years and have never had any problems or issues.

  • Everyone in the Middletown office is very caring, helpful, and professional.

  • Appointments times are always late.

  • My experience was great and I have no complaints.

  • All aspects of my visit were very good

  • Don't change a thing

  • all the caregivers went out of their way to be helpful and cater to my needs

  • My comfort zone with this doctor feels very good!!

  • Had discomfort in my chest and I was provided an appointment promptly. I was provided with the utmost concern and treatment in an expedient manner :)

  • Great quality of care for my condition.

  • I was apprehensive about this visit as I have recently moved to [Name] and I am trying to establish my health care providers closer to home. This has meant getting new providers (in part, because my primary is no longer practicing general medicine and I needed new doctors) That being said, the office staff, medical assistants and especially the cardiologist were very kind and caring. I was actually a little surprised at how easy they made this transition.

  • Dr. Schwengel tells it like it is!

  • I have full trust in the physician, his care and advice but would benefit from more detailed information, including on the level of meds -- they seem to be providing the desired effect but there is a daily period when b/p and p rate drop seem more than needed --- overall I do feel well and appreciate the type of care I'm getting

  • Wait time to see provider was 45 to almost an hour much to long

  • Satisfaction = 100

  • Fast and timely.

  • Wait time in waiting area is long and when you first check in should be easier especially when you have a line waiting

  • Everyone made eye contact, talked to me while making eye contact and in a friendly manner. I didn't have to verbally struggle to get a smile or personal look or response from them. I didn't feel hurried and really enjoyed feeling like each person I encountered cared about me and my health.

  • Dr. Schwengel explained my diagnosis and treatment options very well. While I didn't really want to start on statins, his gentle convincing was more than enough to get me on the statin path.

  • Everyone at office are highly professional, helpful, courteous and alert to my needs.

  • Visit was handled very efficiently and was informative as it needed to be.

  • Providers were courteous and knowledgeable. Appointments were on time.

  • The visit went well, Dr. is friendly and listens. No problems with this visit.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
