About Patrick Fei MD
Patrick Fei, MD has joined Southcoast Physicians Group General Surgery. He received his Doctor of Medicine from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston and completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Staten Island University Hospital in Staten Island, N.Y. Dr. Fei also completed a fellowship in minimally invasive bariatric surgery at Abington Memorial Hospital in Abington, Penn.
While training at the Staten Island University Hospital, Dr. Fei was honored as Intern of the Year, a Citizenship Award, the Team Six Award and a Service Excellence Award. He is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, and the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons.
Dr. Fei has a special interest in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery. He is fluent in Cantonese Chinese. He is a competitive swimmer and in addition to playing the guitar, violin, piano and ukulele, he also enjoys singing and songwriting.

Dr Patrick Fei is by far the best provider I think I've ever had. He genuinely cares about his patients, is vastly knowledgeable, and explains everything in a ton of detail yet is clear and easy to understand.

It was a long wait. There seem to have been issues with the facility.
Dr. Fei takes the time to listen to issues of concern and responds in layman's terms that aid in a strong grasp of the condition, procedure and anticipated recovery. His support staff very caring, compassionate and helpful as well. My first experience with Dr. Fei approximately 4 years ago and I will pursue him for care whenever circumstances dictate doing so.
