About Michael Meuth

Dr. Meuth received his medical degree from the Georgetown University School of Medicine in Washington, D.C., where he was chief resident of internal medicine. Dr. Meuth also completed his fellowship in cardiology at Georgetown.

Dr. Meuth is fully trained in cardiac angioplasty, stenting and peripheral vascular interventions — non-surgical procedures used to open blockages. He performs these specialized procedures at Charlton Memorial Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital.

He is board certified in interventional cardiology.

  • I ran out of Medication and needed to see Dr. to get Prescription renewed. Got appointment right away. I thought I would have a long wait for appointment.

  • Dr. Meuth's team had not yet received my medical records from my PCP at the time of my appointment. Even though they had been trying to for 2 months to geta hold of my PCP, no one from SCH ever called me or informed me of the issue until the morning of the appointment. I was able to get records instantly from my PCP, but the team at SCH didn't even give me a chance to send them to them for review. I sent them after my appointment via the portal. In the future, if a PCP isn't getting the records, I ask that the patients be contacted directly well before their appointment to get the documents needed for a thorough, and full, exam.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
