About Mazhar Jakhro

A graduate of Dow Medical College in Pakistan, Dr. Jakhro completed a residency in Family Medicine at the Brown University School Ð Memorial Hospital of Rhode Island.

Dr. Jakhro has served as an instructor in medicine at a number of colleges including the New York School for Medical and Dental Assistants, New York Medical College in Brooklyn, N.Y., and at Brown University in Providence, R.I.

He is a member of the American Academy of Family Physicians and will see patients 16 years of age and over.

  • The video chat did not work on my phone as I needed to add in Microphone and Camera settings. Even when I did this, it didn't work. There needs to be a troubleshooting page. I think the phone call for a regular check-in is okay. Nothing about what we had been following. Not sure he had access to the health files and going through my records. This is maintenance and a check up needs to go over what you are working on and how that is going for you. Not much of that.

  • Because of the coronavirus, my visit was via video conference. It was a maintenance visit and I had no new concerns, but it was good to check in with my doctor.

  • Yes, everybody was very efficient and friendly going to the lab. I do not know this doctor, but I'd had a tela Health conference with him phone call. I got back my results on the portal, but I have not heard back from the facility. I understand it's probably because it's the weekend and the doctor has to get my results back. I believe before he makes a decision on what they could do to help me with my also. Thank you.

  • I am a new patient and I am really floored by the office staff and the doctor who helped me today. Everybody seems so professional and in good spirits and I really felt like every single one of them cared.

  • Hi, I had an emergency but it they were able to get me right away. Greatly appreciate that even though my wait time was a half an hour. I still was very appreciative getting in on an emergency visit to see my primary care physician and that's very important to me as I'm getting older in age.

  • Landed up, again, waiting an hour for a 15 minute appointment. The doctor had his excuses, but this was definitely not the first time I had to wait 45 - 75 minutes for an appointment. I don't think it's the doctor's fault. There is something wrong systematically with the way these resources are being scheduled.I would recommend as a first step to begin gathering data on wait times, collected directly from the patients. If nothing else it would show your customers that you are aware of the problem and are tracking it.

  • Even though I had a regular scheduled appointment for later in the week, my husband called to see if I could be seen earlier as I had been sick in bed for three days. I was seen that afternoon, right on time and discovered that I have [Redacted]. Because of the prompt attention I received, today I feel a bit better and look forward to a full recovery. Thank you, Dr. Jakhro and the wonderful staff at Rosebrook!

  • My only complaint is that I don't have a good rapport with my primary care doctor. He's nice and caring and respectful, but I just think maybe I need a female doctor.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
