About Kathleen Zeller

Dr. Zeller is an internal medicine physician at Linden Tree Family Health Center in Portsmouth, R.I.

Dr. Zeller received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York.

She completed her internship in internal medicine at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., and her residency in internal medicine from the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Her clinical interests include preventive health and wellness, type 2 diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), thyroid disease, hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), depression and anxiety.

She is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

  • Dr Zeller is always thorough and encouraging when I see her. I feel respected and listened to.

  • Staff was professional, friendly, and helpful. I was a new patient and I felt the doctor was thorough and listened carefully. There was some rushing near the end of the appointment, probably because I took longer than expected, and when I asked for the doctor to call in a refill on a medicine I was running out of, I was shrugged off a bit and I had to call after I got home to ask for the prescription to be filled. Otherwise this was a very good experience. I felt the doctor and staff were practicing excellent precautions due to COVID-19 as well.

  • Always helpful, clean office. Not always fast service, but always corteous

  • Dr. Zeller has always been so patient with me, helping me understand my own care needs and helping me manage my care plans. She remembers things about me, showing that she is invested in me as a person and not just prescribing pills and treatments to be rid of me. If I needed a med refill, a referral, or a non emergent question answered, Doc Z was on it like white on rice. Dr. Z is the first to notice positive changes in me, and encourages me to keep my head up, even when my health has occasionally been a challenge for me. I’m grateful for her care.

  • This was a telemedicine appt which is always unique in its play-out. Dr Zeller was both extremely professional and personable especially with dealing with a sensitive issue that was the focus of my visit. While seeing a doctor over a computer with masks on and not having met in person before is extremely impersonal, I felt comfortable and listened to the whole time and appreciate the action she took and confidence she gave me in the plan going forward and referrals needed. I am thankful for the hard work being done by doctors and their office staff to meet needs while juggling public health and being proactive in technology options. Also, the office was extremely quick in finding me a referral appt and getting me into it and communicating with me.

  • I had a face time call with my doctor. The whole checkin procedure and call with the doctor was quick and seemless - much better than during normal times!!

  • Dr. Zeller's thoroughness, communication skills, and listening skills are simply outstanding. The 45 minute wait to get thru the door followed by a 20 minute wait to see Dr. Zeller followed by another 20 minute wait to get a flu shot (and I flagged down a nurse to get it) were annoying. Given the thoroughness, the 45 minute wait was WORTH IT. The other waits could have been better.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
