About Kathleen Zeller

Dr. Zeller is an internal medicine physician at Linden Tree Family Health Center in Portsmouth, R.I.

Dr. Zeller received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in Rochester, New York.

She completed her internship in internal medicine at the Baystate Medical Center in Springfield, Mass., and her residency in internal medicine from the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Mich.

Her clinical interests include preventive health and wellness, type 2 diabetes, hypertension (high blood pressure), thyroid disease, hyperlipidemia (high cholesterol), depression and anxiety.

She is a diplomat of the American Board of Internal Medicine.

  • This provider listens to what the patient says. And responds with knowledgeable information. To solve any problems, or physical physical... problems, okay. Thank you.

  • Zeller is great

  • I called the office with concerns that I had covid and wasn't able to sleep. I immediately was gotten squeezed into a telehealth appointment and they helped me get a prescription for some cough meds which helped me to sleep and I was very thankful of it and then squeezing me in. The doctor was excellent. She asked me, evaluated my situation and she did an awesome job and addressed my concerns. Was very happy with the experience.

  • This was a first visit and it was largely a get to know about me Q&A session. It would have been nice not to wait 30 minutes in the lobby and another 15 minutes alone in the examining room.

  • Doctor saw I gained weight then gave me a long lecture about all the options and things I could do without ever asking more about my situation, just automatically started suggesting things without asking what I've tried or anything. Then when I mentioned I might have anxiety was automatically asked if I wanted meds. Overall did not feel like she understands anything about where I've come from or gave any useful information on how I want to approach my health and how I want to attempt to loose weight again.

  • My appointment was at 11am. I arrived at the office at 1045am. Was seen by support staff at 11am. Not seen by Dr until 1213pm.

  • The follow-up post physical is unclear. It is my understanding that I have to log onto a website to find out my results versus having a doctor call me to discuss the results. The dr I saw has a bedside manner that is very direct and lacks tact. A little diplomacy would be appreciated.

  • The whole staff is polite, professional and very attentive. I really like Dr. Zeller.

  • I was seen a hour later than my appointment was scheduled. The provider did not even apologize and no one did unless i asked when will i be seen, i believe that was very unprofessional and completely out of line . They need to be aware and respectful of peoples time. This was just extremely rude and not to even apologize was worse. I didn't even have time to get a shot i needed because once again I was left to wait in the room and i had errands to run.

  • no suggestions for improvement. The appointment was on time and the doctor and thorough and attentive.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
