  • Always friendly and knowledgeable about my medical history. Katherine Benevedes give you all the time you need to discuss issues I might have.The only problem is the answering service. They never talk to the dr or let them know you need to speak to them. They are not good at all. It was better when the front office answered the calls and got you everything you needed. I give answering service a 0

  • The provider was very through, and I was very pleased with my visit. Wait time was a bit longer than I had anticipated it would be.

Today she had a student following her and she balanced well explaining things to me and to the student both together and separately. Using layman's terms for me and more medically specific terms to the student. I felt very respected by both of them.

  • I haven't been able to get an appointment with my primary doctor in a very long time, the wait for even a physical is almost a year long. Sometimes I feel they are so overwhelmed with patients there. But, when I do go in everyone is very nice and the doctor/nurse practitioner do listen well and I feel heard about my concerns.

  • Kathy Benevides took a lot of time, is very thorough, answered all my questions, listened very carefully, and gave me ideas about how to improve my health. She was terrific. I was able to get my flu shot and get my knee X-ray done, the lab work done in a timely way. So that was just great. Thank you.

  • The calling system for this office is ridiculous. I have waited almost an hour one time to get through. You never get through on less than 20 minutes. This needs to be corrected.

  • Yes, I would like to let you know that there I'm hearing impaired as well. As I'm sure, there are many people out there that are hearing impaired. I depend on seeing a person's face and mouth and lips in order to fully understand what they say. I really feel you should consider purchasing masks that are open for your hearing impaired patients. Unfortunately, we are pushed aside and have a very difficult time understanding everything our provider's data was. Speaking loudly through the masks does not help. So that is one thing that I have found over and over again in very, in all the medical facilities. I was [Name] [Name] [Name] and all staff who work with me had face *

  • If the health care provider is running late, let the patient know…other offices have a board with Dr. names with cards next to each saying who is on time and who is running behind…takes the stress out of waiting right away.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
