Kathy always makes you feel like you matter. When she walks into the exam room, she has a way to put you at ease, you always feel like she must of had this problem too. You never feel judged and you absolutely never feel like she doesn't listen. You can't fake empathy and that you are a caring person. She just has a way about her. I don't think I've ever had a visit with her where she didn't ask me "how is your husband." Kathy truly cares about her patients. Kathy Benevides is the biggest asset this practice has. I am so glad i switched to her years ago. If she ever left this practice so would every one of her patients, we would follow her anywhere.

Katherine Benevides is a fantastic asset to SOUTHCOAST. She is extremely skilled and communicative. I sought an appointment on a Tuesday, never received a call back, which I was told I would. I called again on Wednesday as I had gotten worse. Soonest they could see me was Thursday…I wondered why limited availability and no call back on that Tuesday. Again, Ms Benevides was terrific as were the associates.

I have had many appointments canceled and rescheduled over the last couple of years and it seems literally IMPOSSIBLE to get an actual appointment with my PCP even a year out! The only complaint I had is that my appointment was scheduled for 10am and although I was taken into a room right away, the wait time in the room was at least a half hour or longer. This is not the first time I've experienced this at my physical appointments. As far as being seen by NP Benevides, it was my first time and I found her to be thorough and caring. 10 out of 10 in my book. I have asked to have her switched to be my primary care provider.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
