About Karl Zuzarte

Dr. Zuzarte is a board-certified internist. He graduated from the University of Bombay in India, and then completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (Tufts University) in Boston.

He is also a Federal Aviation Administration certified Senior Aviation Medical Examiner.

  • I actually did the visit over the phone registration call me in the morning the nurse called me 10 min before the doctor call me. I think that based on the information that I told the doctor he had a path forward.

  • Especially during this time of Crisis. The staff was very good. Very helpful. They brought me right to where I needed to be and they treated me courteously.

  • My appointment was for 2pm I wasn’t called until 320 I thought that was a long wait but I guess they were busy.

  • I came in with two medical issues. One most immediate and concerning, the other less immediate but a long lasting issue. But if time with any doctor is limited, then attending the immediate issue solely, well...then so be it. I’m not a hypochondriac, but it would seem that finding serious illness or cancer early is a safest measure to take. Hope I hear back on my blood test results good or bad. Your staff are nice and helpful.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Helpfulness of Clerks & Receptionists, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
