About Karl Zuzarte

Dr. Zuzarte is a board-certified internist. He graduated from the University of Bombay in India, and then completed a residency in internal medicine at St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center (Tufts University) in Boston.

He is also a Federal Aviation Administration certified Senior Aviation Medical Examiner.

  • It perfect don’t change

  • Asked me very important questions about my health

  • Dr. Zuzarte seems like a very genetic, generic, guy and after mentioning that I have had some chest pains, I kind of seemed disinterested and did not mention anything, maybe what the cause of that could be from or what we could do about it. Seems like he just kind of goes out throughout his day, to get through it and doesn't actually provide the utmost care that he could, for his patients.

  • Very complete and friendly appointment I did not feel rushed at all. I was asked several times during the appointment if I had any questions or concerns.

  • Everything was professional and smooth. The whole team made the visit pleasant.

  • Doctor's secretary was extremely helpful in processing my request. She was empathetic and efficient.

  • What Did Not Went Well:1. I was forced to find a fax machine to fax my documents to provider, while I asked to email or upload.2. Very poor audio and video

  • There was great communication between his nurse, [Name] reviewing ... going over the meds making sure I had the meds and that I'm very versed in the meds and know the meds and good communication with my provider Dr. Zuzarte.

  • Dr. Zuzarte is very professional and he knows my medical history very well. I enjoy having visits with him and his staff. Thank you.

  • I was very satisfied with my televisit, but I needed I (INAUDIBLE) go and get 2 prescriptions and when I went to pick them up, one of them was $70, which I did not want to spend. So I don't know whether it's feasible for the provider or the front office to to check out things like that in advance. So patients don't get unwanted surprises and have to spend more time possibly to replace the the prescription. So, that's all I, you know, that was a high price or something to treat something which was an eye infection that will only want only be used once. I hope I said that clearly, okay. Thank you.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
