About Joseph Lifrak MD
Dr. Lifrak graduated cum laude with departmental honors in biology from Tulane University in New Orleans. He then earned his medical degree at the Brown University School of Medicine in Providence.
Dr. Lifrak completed a surgical internship and orthopedic residency at Brown University, Rhode Island Hospital. He then completed an orthopedic trauma fellowship at Rhode Island Hospital and a knee reconstruction/sports medicine fellowship at the Jewett Orthopedic Clinic in Winter Park, Fla.
He is a member and past president of the Rhode Island Orthopedic Society. His clinical interests are focused on sports medicine and knee reconstruction, including total knee replacements, ACL surgery and knee arthroscopy.
Dr. Lifrak is also active in the Providence College athletic programs, with specific responsibility as the team orthopedic physician for Providence Friars Ice Hockey team.

Took me 10 minutes earlier than my scheduled appointment and the doctor came in 2 minutes before my appointment.
I was made comfortable and received the numbing injections in both knees and when ready I received the gel shots in both knees.
Your staff was amazing. As always, your facility was clean and everyone was really nice. The provider was amazing. He talked to me in words I could understand. He took the time to ask if I had any questions. And when I didn't know, he would find out what the answer was. And he was very helpful and informative and I would recommend your staff and my provider to anyone.
Better office directions. I went to be seen for a bad knee only to park, walk to the entrance and almost climbed stairs to see a sign saying Employees Only, others use front entrance. So, I walked/limped around the building only to find out the entrance was on a different level and road.

I have a complete acl tear a partial ligament tear to be told that over time it heals not worried because I'm not an athlete doesn't mean anything. I still need to walk , work, and do everyday. So what is the point of going back if you're not treating me then? Rude
