About Joann Chang MD
Joann Chang, MD earned her medical degree at Case Western Reserve University’s School of Medicine in Cleveland, Ohio. She then completed her General Internal Medicine Residency through Brown University’s program at Rhode Island Hospital. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Chang’s clinical interests include preventative care, complex care management, and mental health.
Dr. Chang chose to become a primary care physician to serve her patients with preventative care. Her personal philosophy of care involves empowering patients to make their best healthcare decisions. Doctor-patient relationships are important to Dr. Chang, and she believes that these healthcare partnerships bring the best possible care.
In her free time, Dr. Chang enjoys reading and practicing yoga.

My primary care physician of many years retired and this the first appointment with my new physician, Dr. Chang. It was an absolute pleasure to meet with her. She was very pleasant, professional, caring and knowledgable. I appreciated how Dr. Chang took the time to review my diagnoses, current medications, goals and any concerns that I may have. After meeting with her, I feel confident that Dr. Chang will continue to provide the quality of care that I was fortunate to receive from my previous primary care provider.

Dr Chang always listens and cares about her patients.
This was my first visit with Dr. Chang and she made me feel totally comfortable. She was very understanding. She wasn't judgmental. She helped me through the problems I had and made me feel good about them and helped me decide what to do about them.
I went in for an issue. She wasn't going to examine the issue until I had to advocate for myself and request that she do an examination. She was just quick to make a referral.
I waited 30 minutes for the appointment to start. That's my only complaint. Dr. Chang is the best.

Timely appointment, efficient yet friendly process, everything was made very clear. By the next day, several tentative appointments had been made for my follow up. I had to move a couple of them but this was relatively easy as everyone in scheduling was very helpful.

I love my provider but the intake people make me feel old and invisible. Luckily, I know who I am and chuckle There is a professional and efficient demeanor, which I have seen at this organizations other facilities that one comes to expect. This has happened the last 2 visits.
