About Janice Sundnas

Janice Sundnas received her undergraduate degree in Nursing at Rhode Island College and moved to New Hampshire where she worked at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center as a Labor and Delivery nurse. She then braved the Texas heat to complete her Nurse Practitioner training at the University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, TX, and spent the next 15 years working in rural New Hampshire.

Janice is a board-certified Women’s Health Practitioner and enjoys caring for women throughout their lives. She provides care to adolescents, adult women, post-menopausal women and also prenatal care. She is trained to insert IUDs, Nexplanon implants and other minor office procedures.

  • So first off, everyone was absolutely wonderful. It was the first time that I had visited your office and I was just so pleasantly surprised by how pleasant, courteous, and how quickly I was seen. I also would like to just say how wonderful my provider was. She listened carefully. She was interested in my issue and she worked very diligently to address the issue as well as listen carefully to my concern. So honestly, I just have to rate the experience today a 10. It was just fantastic and I hope every repeat experience is the same. But for my first time at your facility, I just have to say it was fantastic. Thank you.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
