About Gregory Russell

Dr. Russell came to the South Coast region in 1998, the year he completed his cardiology fellowship at Tufts University. He also completed an internship and residency in internal medicine at Tufts after graduating from the University of Vermont Medical School.

He is board certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease and cardiac rhythm device therapy and specializes in both invasive and non-invasive cardiology.

  • Staff is very easy to talk to,work with you to make next appointment.lve used this provider for many years and he knows my medical history ,so l'm comfortable in his care.

  • Everyone from the receptionist to the nurse and Dr. Russell were friendly, professional, and put you at ease. This is a class group of employees and staff.

  • I have always been treated with respect and thoughtfulness when I need a visit with Dr. Russell. He listens and makes suggestions when necessary. The girls are always polite and kind. The office is always neat and clean. Dr.Russell has a very caring personality which makes a visit with him enjoyable. He talks to you and to me that is so important. Some doctors talk above your ability to understand what they mean. Not him. I would highly recommend Dr. Russell to any family member or friend.

She is friendly, yet very professional , answering all my questions and concerns. My wait was minimal. Dr Russell is excellent. He has been my primary for many years . I trust his care and knowledge without question . I did not feel rushed and he always goes over with me any issues that need to be addressed. When I leave, I always feel I have been well taken care of and I can depend on him for my future medical needs .

  • Always satisfied with Dr. RUSSELL. I am.not pleased with having to verbalize all of my personal information at the entrance to the waiting room. Isn't there a more private way to accomplish this?

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
