About Erin Edwards

Erin Edwards earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing at Fitchburg State University. Erin furthered her knowledge and expertise by earning a Master of Science degree in Adult Health Nursing at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. 

Medicine has always been an important part of Erin’s life. As a child, Erin went through open heart surgery. The experience fostered her love of healthcare and has helped her to excel in the field of nursing. Erin believes that because she has been in their shoes, she is better able to connect with and care for her patients. She has always found enjoyment in being apart of her patients lives and being there for them in their time of need.

In her free time, Erin enjoys spending time with her son and daughter.

  • This was my first visit with Erin. She was very impersonal and the appointment was quicker than my wait was. She also posted, in "my chart " that I stopped medication on my own, which was not true. The medication stopped because the Dr did not renew the prescription with express scripts. She had no right to assume that I stopped it, nor did she ask. Not very happy.

  • It seems to me that everything is handled well.

  • One thing about this place I love everything about the people work there I love about my primary care how she take good care of me wow at this time when things are going so bad during the time of this virus I haven't been at this place in a while but Lord help me Jesus I really love the people here they do take care of their clients very well my prayers go out to them all

  • This is my first visit to Erin Edwards. Since the pandemic. I have lost my primary care provider. I've been with South Coast health health for over 30 years. Everything went well. She was delightful a very lovely woman and very caring and concern for me the check in and checkout process went, you know, as protocol pro vised with the covid experience. And it was excellent. So I am very happy with my first visit with Erin.

  • I had 3 office visits canceled by the provider before this visit. 2 of them were canceled after 4:30 the day before. Once I got the visit it was good.

  • Totally unable to communicate with my doctor and got my prescription wrong so I ran out of meds.

  • This visit far exceeded my expectations. This provider works much better with an in-person visit- I think this is partially because computer televideo is not yet available at Southcoast while it is at CapeCod healthcare- unfortunate because I am blind and cannot use a cellphone. Care provided during this visit was truly excellent It is also very difficult to communicate what is going on because there is no easy way to email at Southcoast while I have direct email at Capecod- none of this is the fault of the doctor but rather the system.

  • Staff at the desk were welcoming. Medical assistant was very nice. Erin Edwards is smart, helpful, kind and encouraging. She spends as much time as I need and answers any questions I have.

  • I felt a little rushed during appointment. It was a physical and i felt more time should have been allowed.

  • They didn't call on time. When I checked in they stated I didn't have an appointment that my appointment was the week before which it wasn't. The appointment was made at the time they said i had my telehealth appointment was. But the doctor was very attentive and called me right away to go through everything and fix the issue.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
