  • All of the staff was nice and respectful. I was a little uncomfortable that I was made to change my cloth mask to a paper one.

  • It was my first time at this office there was a mix up with my appointment I think that I was never put into the schedule that I had arrived for my appointment? But that's ok things happen the dr was excellent the staff that did the intake before the dr came in also excellent

  • Nothing really

  • Good visit.

  • Everything is has it should be.

  • Professional and courteous describes my visit

  • Dr. Mello is an excellent provider. She always takes the time to listen and provides a thorough CPE. I have, and will continue, to recommend her to family and friends.

  • When Dr. Simpson left, I was devastated. I'd been with her since 18 years old and I was worried about who was to take her place. I am so happy Dr. Mello joined the practice. She is kind, pro-active, and easy to talk to.

  • Dr. Mello is a wonderful doctor and I am thankful I have her.

  • Everything was great.

  • I am not a fan of telehealth

  • Dr. Mello is the most informed doctor that I ever had. She takes time to listen; to me that is so important that makes you feel so valued.

  • Very professional with the best bedside manner.

  • Dr is very pleasant and explains in an understanding manner.

  • They fit me into their schedule the same day I called with a problem. The only problem is a back up for MRIs so I have to wait more than 2 weeks.

  • + Feel well cared for by Laurie (nurse) and Dr. Mello. Dr. Mello discusses important issues in the aging process like hearing loss and encourages seeing a specialist. She is proactive. - I keep reports from other doctors I see (dermatologist, colon specialist, pulmonologist, etc.) but wish that with all of the technology available that all those reports would be part of my record with my primary care doctor. Many seem to get lost in the shuffle unless I make a point of asking for a copy of the report and send it to this practice.

  • My provider took her time explaining options very helpful and professional

  • Dr Mello and all staff were professional, kind and thoughtful. They shared their knowledge and listened carefully to my comments and concerns.

  • Dr Mello is my PC and we were meeting to follow up regarding an ER visit. We mainly stuck to topic. She is open yet calm

  • Thank you

  • fast friendy service. polite, professional, thorough.

  • Dr. Mello was well informed of my Doabetes issue and was willing to listen to my opinion and desires on the issue. I respect and value her service.

  • Things were good, don't change anything.

  • Love Dr Ericka Mello and staff!!

  • Yeah, well, the provider just likes to pass on ... me on to just other different Drs. It's like she doesn't ... you know, I'm just too complex for her, and she doesn't want to take the challenges, and it's very concerning to me, and it's very frustrating. I call her for certain things that are important to me, she doesn't think it's important. That's all I can say.

  • I'm very pleased with the way the nurse talked to me about my medications. We went over it. We cleared up prescriptions that we're not taking. He was very helpful and... and very caring. Dr. Erika Mello, likewise, was very good. We talked about many things. She's happy... concerned about my weight had dropped. And I talked to her about how I can lose more weight. I've already lost 32 pounds over the last 2 years. And I would like to move some more, and she helped me and gave me some good ideas and incentives of how to do it. Over all the... the appointment was very, very fulfilling. And I did not have to wait that long. I maybe waited 10 minutes, and I was in the office talking to the nurse and then Dr. Mello. I was very pleased. Thank you very much. Take care.

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
