  • Dr Eby is very knowledgeable in all areas of medicine and listens intently to what I have to say. He cares about his patients. It is hard to find a doctor that is as good as Dr Eby . I wish I had a primary care doctor like him.

  • Hi. Dr. Eby's office, and his staff, and Dr. Eby, and the front desk staff, and everybody are so wonderful, and Dr. Eby is like, one of the best Drs.

  • I came under the care of Dr. Eby when I was admitted to Tobey Hospital in May, 2021, for multiple small p.e.'s in both lungs. I finished a course of Eliquis, as prescribed. I had not felt well since about Christmas, but attributed it to other possible issues. I am VERY thankful to have had my recent appointment with Dr. Eby. He explained in detail the difference between provoked & unprovoked p.e. We decided together that it would be best for me to resume Eliquis at 1/2 the dose I was on. I have to say that I am surprised to feel some improvement after only a few days back on the anticoagulant. My family has planned a trip involving a drive to the Outer Banks. I truly feel that Dr. Eby's recommendation to resume Eliquis has likely saved my life. As a mom of 7, the youngest being twins just finishing high school, I am hoping to be "here" for as long a time as possible! My husband passed unexpectedly 3/20/11 with a massive p.e. I am every thankful for each and every day!Thank You, Dr. Eby!u00A0

Southcoast Health physician profiles now feature star ratings.  Below, you’ll find frequently asked questions about our process for calculating the ratings.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
