About Devin Bean

Devin Bean earned his Master of Medical Science from Tufts University School. Previously, he completed a Bachelor of Arts in Animal Behavior and Evolution at Hampshire College. He has previously worked as a Physician Assistant Hospitalist at Falmouth Hospital, within General Surgery at South Shore Hospital, and at Cape Cod Orthopedics & Sports Medicine.

In his free time, he enjoys fishing, camping and dog training.

  • I was able to get a same day appointment with Devin Bean PA, which was great! He was pleasant and really had an understanding of everything going on. He was very proactive with everything. He has a great bedside manner, truly an asset! Highly recommend him!

  • PA, Devin Bean, was extremely thorough and attentive to my needs and systematically ran through his assessment and quickly provided me with options.   • I've discovered that there isn't much that any of the facilities can do to improve what's going on in today's world which is sad either the hmos have taken over made it impossible for doctors to give the patients their time or the fact that everything's so tight you end up with rude staff sadly it seems to be everywhere and not just in South Coast

  • Devin Dean was very good with explaining the reasons for my knee pain in both knees and how to go forward relieving that pain going forward. Unfortunately, I went to my CVS drug store for my anti inflamatory perscription and they did not have it. I called CVS again at 7:00pm and they still didn't have it. When arriving at home at 5:30pm, I called the office answering service who stated that they were going to buzz Devin and took my phone number but I never received a call from the office or Devin. I have to reach the office again this morning.

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and  Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office.  The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
