About David Bae

Dr. Bae earned a Master’s Degree in Neurobiology and a Medical Degree from Brown University Medical School.

He completed a residency in Urology at Rhode Island Hospital in Providence where he also completed a research fellowship in Urology and Men’s Health.

Dr. Bae has specialized training in laparoscopic urological surgery including extensive training with the da Vinci robotic system.

He also has particular interest and, advanced training in the use of lasers in prostate surgery, including the latest Green Light XPS laser system for benign prostate enlargement.

Dr. Bae is board certified in Urology.

My experience at this facility is always positive. I usually have to wait a bit to see the doctor but it's not an excessive amount of time. Patients of Dr. Bae should understand that he performs office procedures and deals with emergency situations so delays can happen.

The office was busy and the wait was longer than usual, however the staff and Dr. Bae apologized for it. I was fine with the wait and I wasn't upset at all. People need to have more patience in these times as our Healthcare providers are being asked to do more and more for us. (Especially after covid) This was my first time at this location and seeing Dr. Bae. I am grateful to have been offered a fast pass to be seen quicker. The staff and Dr Bae were awesome and caring. He listened to me and answered all my questions. I am a little less frightened about my upcoming surgery now. Thank you to Dr Bae and the entire medical staff!

Why does Southcoast publish survey ratings online?
Southcoast is dedicated to providing patients and consumers with helpful information about the quality of our patients’ experiences. Star ratings published on our physician biography pages are based on actual responses from patients of that particular physician to patient satisfaction surveys that are distributed and processed by a national patient satisfaction survey vendor.

Who receives the survey?
Our vendor sends surveys via SMS or email to all patients seen in our outpatient physician practices who have a valid smart phone number or email address on file with Southcoast Health. Surveys are sent to patients within a few days of their appointment.

How is the Patient Satisfaction Star Rating Calculated?
Star ratings are calculated using an average of all survey responses to each of three questions: Courtesy and Respect of Staff, Provider Overall Rating, and Willingness to Recommend Provider’s Office. The star rating displayed on our physicians’ main biography page represents the average of the three measures for that particular physician.
