About Charles Shana, MD
Specializing in gastroenterology, Dr. Shana is in practice at Truesdale Medical Specialties Associates in Fall River. He is on the active medical staff at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Dr. Shana received his medical degree from Yale University School of Medicine, and completed his residency in medicine at the Brown University Medical School Affiliated Hospitals. He completed a clinical and research fellowship in Gastroenterology at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, a Harvard Medical School teaching affiliate. He has served as an instructor in medicine at Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Shana is board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology. He is an elected Fellow member to the American College of Gastroenterology and a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is Chairman of Gastroenterology at Charlton Memorial Hospital.
Charles speaks Portuguese.

From the time I walked in to the time I left I was treated with kindness, respect and understanding. I was only in the waiting room for 5 minutes then I was called. Dr Shana was thorough going over my chart and informing me what the next step in my treatment.
