About Trent Ainsworth, DO
Dr. Trent Ainsworth graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst. Dr. Ainsworth earned his medical degree in Osteopathic Medicine from the University of New England College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following medical school, he completed his residency in Family Medicine at Naval Hospital Camp Pendleton, serving as chief resident during his final year.
Dr. Ainsworth was initially attracted to medicine through the road to recovery following several sports injuries, an experience which made him realize he wanted to work in a career that could immediately impact individual lives.
His clinical interests are in lifestyle medicine and obesity medicine. He believes that family medicine offers him the perfect blend of patient-doctor continuity, medical complexity and in-office procedures, all while allowing him to maintain a work-life balance that affords him time with family and the pursuit of other personal goals.
Along with his hobbies of spending time with family, running, cycling, surfing, skiing, and hiking, he is passionate about raising kind, compassionate, and confident daughters.

His professionalism always makes me feel that he understands my health issues.I do feel that initially I felt rushed by the technician who did my tests.Also respect and kindness should always be the protocol for anyone working in the medical community.
Excellent provider. Listens, provides constructive feedback, is receptive to questions, does not make us feel rushed, is willing to explore solutions that are tailored to our specific needs, not just a general comment on anything. Very specific, very caring. The same, I would say, for his support staff, including the front office staff. They are very attentive. They are deeply concerned with making sure that we get what we need. They're fantastic on follow-up, and they pay a great deal of attention to what the patient needs and what the family needs. Really, really one of the best experiences that I've ever had with any provider. Really, really outstanding.
I felt so listened too and welcomed in the office. Direction for the computer use prior to having lab work was confusing and one client walked out due to confusion. After the lobby was empty and I was asked what I was there for , the lab tech showed me what to do.

Yes, I was very pleased that Dr. Ainsworth saw the need that I had to speak with, to have a conference call with my psychiatrist so that we could get both my mental health prescriptions and my other physical health prescriptions working together to lessen my anxiety and the problems I'm having with my health. The MA, I believe [Name] did everything right. She ask pertinent questions about visit, she reviewed each and every medication, she took a proper Blood pressure with my sleeve rolled up , left arm and feet on the ground.It was my first visit with Dr Ainsworth. In my first visit with Dr. Ainsworth as my primary, he was very good at connecting with me and listening to my concerns, background and goals. Most importantly, he took the time needed to go through everything thoroughly and didn't seem in a hurry to move on. He really made me feel like my concerns were important to him. The check-in process was a little frustrating. The lady at the front desk told me that she would be with me in a minute, as she was doing something with a different office staff person. I then sat down to wait, then several other people came in after me and came up to the window and she served them without acknowledging the fact that I was there first.
Welcomed me as a new patient to the practice - that was unexpected but definitely appreciated. Trent is a really engaged physician and I hope that my entire family can be seen by him.
