About Michael Langworthy, MD
Dr. Langworthy earned his medical degree from the University of Michigan Medical School in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is fellowship trained in adult pelvis and major joint reconstruction at the University of California, San Diego.
A leading advisor on arthritic joint disease to the US military, Dr. Langworthy holds a clinical faculty appointment at the Naval Medical Center in San Diego. He is a current Director of Advanced Trauma Life Support for the US Navy and has published numerous papers and spoken around the world on cartilage and osteoarthritis.
Dr. Langworthy was honored as one of the Top 100 Health Care Professionals of the world in 2013 and is board certified in orthopedic surgery.

From the time I entered the office, I felt very comfortable. The girls explained things to me. When they took me into the back, they explained the x-rays that they were doing and why they were doing. And then when I got into the office to see Dr. Langworthy, he was very explanatory as to what I needed to have done. He showed me my x-rays and explained my x-rays to me and gave me my options of what was available for me to do so that I could have my knees replaced.
Every one was very courteous and pleasant to deal with!
Dr Langworthy and his staff are all fantastic! He exudes knowledge and confidence and I trust him implicitly.
Yes, I went on an emergency visit and he told, Dr. Langworthy, told me what to do. My mother was with me and everything was all well and good. I'm in severe pain, but he's taking care of business as he always does and I appreciate that. The staff is just wonderful and the whole visit went nice and smooth.
Dr Langworthy explained the results of the xrays and requested further testing as they didn't go along with the pain I am experiencing. I did appreciate him listening to me and willing to do more.
Overall the orthopedic group at this office is courteous, asks questions to help my situation, explains what is going on and what will occur in the future and is very efficient.
The reception staff was fantastic as was the x-ray technicians and also Dr. Langworthy. Very helpful, very professional, very friendly, made me feel very comfortable and I'm very happy with my choice and looking forward to my surgery. Thank you very much. Everybody there.
