About John Carroll, MD
Dr. Carroll is co-Chief of Urology for Southcoast Hospitals.
He earned his Medical Degree from Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston. He completed an internship and residencies in Surgery and Urology at New England Medical Center in Boston, where he served as chief resident in Urology.
He has special interest and expertise in urologic oncology, urolithiasis and pediatric urology and women’s incontinence. He has extensive experience in laparoscopic urology procedures.
He is an assistant clinical professor in the Department of Urology at Tufts University School of Medicine where he has received an “Excellence in Teaching” award.
He is a diplomat of the American Board of Urology and a member of the American Urological Association.

I have been with Dr. Carroll since 2005. I will not see anyone but him. He is amazing…When he retires it will be s huge loss to our community.

I really love this office.The only thing i didnt like is check out . I was standing there at check out for 5 minutes and the lady wont knowledge me she was typing on the computer. Lease look at me and say i will be right with you. Very uncomfortable. She needs to learn to communicate with people. Would she like it if she was treated like that?????

Straight from when I walk in, the staff at the front greet you friendly. Right from when you walk in to when you get inside the office, not the office, when the nurses take you in to the back room. I needed assistance with helping me in the bathroom. I needed those little hat things. They helped me with that. No problems. Friendly, friendly staff. And Dr. Carroll is always pleasant, always smiling, goes through my x-rays with me, allows me to see, explains to me where the kidney stones are. Very outgoing and friendly.

Waited in exam room to see the doctor for an hour and a half. It would be helpful if patients could get a call ahead of time if the doctor is that far behind, and have patient come in a little later.
Extremely efficient
It's 2024 there is no reason for a patient to need to wait an hour to be seen. Dr Caroll is great, but not the only place people need to be.

This practice was able to fit me into their busy schedule after learning from my PCP of a concerning change in my health. The staff were friendly and helpful. Dr Carroll had good explanations of my symptoms, put me at ease and he discussed a care plan with me.
