About Jessica Fisher NP
Jessica Fisher received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing and her Master of Science in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from the University of Rhode Island College of Nursing in Kingston, Rhode Island.
Her inspiration to focus on family medicine and primary care derives from her history in inpatient nursing where she often cared for patients with end-stage chronic diseases.
Jessica believes in customizing treatments to meet each patient’s unique goals rather than following a one-size-fits-all model. She prioritizes addressing the underlying causes of illnesses to provide effective care and wants to work more independently to make a difference by focusing on the patient’s health.
Jessica believes it is important to form partnerships with her patients when it comes to their care. Her patients must first understand the benefits that come from taking better care of themselves, and that her role is to provide education, resources, and motivation to help them achieve their health goals.
To her, being at Southcoast Health is being a part of an organization that truly values its employees and healthcare providers. The empowerment and respect presented allows those at Southcoast to focus on providing the highest quality care and achieving results for patients.
Outside of work, Jessica enjoys spending time outdoors, practicing yoga, skiing, and spending time with her family.

Left message on portal early Tuesday 10/21/25 and Nurse [Name] called within an hour and fit me in today Wednesday 10/22/25 to see PA Jessica Fisher. PA Fisher was excellent! She listened, asked many questions and quickly diagnosed me as having vertigo. Gave me instructions for exercises and a prescription for medication.
