About James Watson, MD
Board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Watson earned his medical degree and master’s in public health at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York. He will see patients at Truesdale Medical GI Associates, 1030 President Ave. in Fall River.
Dr. Watson completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, followed by a fellowship in advanced endoscopy at Duke University in Durham, N.C.
His fields of interest include therapeutic endoscopy, diagnosis and staging of hepato-biliary and gastric malignancy, inflammatory bowel disease, Barrett’s esophagus, and colon cancer screening.
His publications include the Journal of Gastrointestinal Cancer and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

1st I was called in about 1 minute after a checked in. 2nd I unfortunately see a lot of Dr's. And Dr Watson is new to me. 2nd time seeing him. Most Dr's treat you like a number. Dr Watson listened and made me feel comfortable and hopefully about my future care. He was attentive and caring.

Hi. Every time I have appointments with doctors, they always explain to me everything, including if I needed surgery and give me support, whatever is good for me. And I appreciate that because sometimes when you go for surgery or something, you're kind of afraid, but they're always there to give you support and everything, and always positive. Okay. Thank you.

I chose Dr Watson because of his knowledge and willingness to talk to his patients, based on previous visits or procedures with him. I provided, in advance, of the appointment, a detailed PowerPoint presentation to help him understand my medical issue, and he took the initiative to review the same in advance. This resulted in a very efficient consultation. To me, it was a great meeting with my specialist with whom I have much trust. The staff too were very friendly and helpful. I guess in summary, I could not have had a better experience.
