About James Watson, MD
Board certified in internal medicine and gastroenterology, Dr. Watson earned his medical degree and master’s in public health at Mount Sinai School of Medicine, New York. He will see patients at Truesdale Medical GI Associates, 1030 President Ave. in Fall River.
Dr. Watson completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mount Sinai Hospital. He completed his fellowship in gastroenterology at Brown University/Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, followed by a fellowship in advanced endoscopy at Duke University in Durham, N.C.
His fields of interest include therapeutic endoscopy, diagnosis and staging of hepato-biliary and gastric malignancy, inflammatory bowel disease, Barrett’s esophagus, and colon cancer screening.
His publications include the Journal of Gastrointestinal Cancer and Clinical Gastroenterology and Hepatology.

I am blessed to be a patient of Dr. Watson. He is so attentive, listens intently and provides clear direction for your Care. I admire him very much.He first found and diagnosed my peritoneal cancer that had metastasized to my colon and arranged for me to be seen very quickly by the surgeon and together they literally saved my life!This was the first time I had been to the Fairhaven office and ironically his firstDay at this location as well.The office is huge!
1st I was called in about 1 minute after a checked in. 2nd I unfortunately see a lot of Dr's. And Dr Watson is new to me. 2nd time seeing him. Most Dr's treat you like a number. Dr Watson listened and made me feel comfortable and hopefully about my future care. He was attentive and caring.
