About Essam Awad MD
Dr. Awad holds a medical degree from Ain Shams University in Cairo, Egypt. He completed an internship in internal medicine at St. Mary’s Hospital, affiliated with Yale University, Conn. He then completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Francis Hospital also in Conn.
Dr Awad completed a critical care fellowship at the Miriam Hospital, R.I., affiliated with Brown University. Dr. Awad completed a pulmonary fellowship at the University of Connecticut Medical Center.
Dr. Awad has been practicing in the Fall River area for more than two decades. He is the Director of the Pulmonary Rehabilitation program for Southcoast Health. He also is a fellow of the American College of Chest Physicians. is board certified in internal medicine, pulmonary medicine and critical care medicine.
Dr. Awad is fluent in Arabic.
