About Jamsheed Vakharia, MD
Dr. Vakharia graduated from Aga Khan University Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. He completed his residency in surgery at the Brown University Medical School and internship at The Miriam Hospital. Previously, he received a Higher Secondary Certification in Premedical Sciences from the Adamjee Government Science College, also in Karachi.
Dr. Vakharia is a Clinical Assistant Professor of Surgery at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University and is a member of the American College of Surgeons. He was voted a “Top Doc” by RI Monthly Magazine from 2002 to 2019.
His clinical interests include robotic surgery.

Dr Vakharia was very thorough. He went over my overall medical history and discussed my recent medical problems. He explained everything in great detail and made me feel very confident in his abilities. Dr Vakharia and his staff have been wonderful during this whole process. I could not have asked for a more professional, personable and helpful staff. If I had another gallbladder and had an issue, I'd be using them again.

The people in the doctors office were very nice and the doctor was very highly recommended and I can see why. He is thorough, attentive and calming and answered all my questions. The staff across the hall however need to be sure that someone is in the front area all the time to answer questions
