About Anna Somerto, MD
Dr. Somerto earned her medical degree at the Turku Medical School at the University of Turku in Finland and completed a residency in neurology at University of California, Los Angeles. She also completed a fellowship in clinical neurophysiology / epilepsy at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles.
She has special expertise and interest in the treatment of epilepsy and seizures in both adults and adolescents, along with general neurology, including testing for nerve and muscle disorders.
She is board certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology (EEG and EMG testing) and sleep medicine. She is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Academy of Sleep Medicine and the American Epilepsy Society.

Both Dr. Somerto and her assistant were kind , knowledgeable , efficient , caring , and professional and my Doctor even provided me with a copy of her findings . Now , I need to wait until I am contacted by Tobey Hospital for my MRI prior to seeing[Name] .

I asked to be put on a wait list and I was called to come today instead of Feb 11 2025. That meant the procedure would be done and I will be deciding how to proceed with future treatment sooner and that is important to my daily quality of life.
I was early for my appointment figuring I would have to wait but was taken immediately and was thanked for being early.
Dr Somerto is very caring and knows my history. She provides the best care. The Staff is always pleasant and helpful. They make appointments for me that fit my schedule.
