About Seth O'Donnell, MD
Dr. Seth O’Donnell graduated Cum Laude with his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Notre Dame. He then earned his Doctor of Medicine degree from New York Medical College in Valhalla, NY and completed his internship in the Department of Orthopedic Surgery at the Naval Medical Center Portsmouth in Portsmouth, VA. Dr. O’Donnell then finished his residency in orthopedic surgery at the Warren Alpert School of Medicine at Brown University in Providence, RI. After this, he pursued advanced training and completed a fellowship in Orthopedic Trauma Surgery at Rhode Island Hospital followed by a fellowship in Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital. He then served as Clinical Instructor for Orthopedic Surgery at Harvard Medical School for two years.
Dr. O’Donnell has always been a natural problem solver and enjoys challenges. His personal philosophy of care is centered around collaboration, approaching the treatment of each patient as an individual, exhausting all non-operative measures when possible, and using surgery when indicated to maximize every patient’s opportunity to return to independence and desired activity. He enjoys being able to care for patients across all age and activity spectrums – each with very different functional goals and interests.
When not at work, Dr. O’Donnell enjoys freediving and spear fishing, baking, spending time with his family, and traveling. Dr. O’Donnell is a former Lieutenant Commander in the United States Navy.

I didn't have a great deal of expectations as i entered the appointment i was in a great deal of pain i was stressed with what my injuries may have been or or how this may have limited my mobility after when i met with the doctor he explained everything to me and said that you know this is a relatively common occurrence and i should heal just fine from this he answered any questions that i had and proceeded to make another appointment for me. I am very happy with the healthcare provided by south coast health.

X-rays done timely manner. Had to wait to find a room… once in the room, it took almost 45 min until seen. All in all I spent @ 1h 45 min in the facility!

I saw the provider for 5 minutes, where he looked at my ankle but did not go over the findings of my X-rays. I assumed I was waiting so long for him because he was going over my results but then I had to learn from my MyChart there is still a fracture.
I have been to this doctors office twice and was very happy with how I was treated. All the staff I encountered and Dr were great.
Dr. O'Donnell was great and answered all my questions he explained all the processes thoroughly and in a way I could understand. [Name] was also amazing she went above and beyond to make sure I was taken care of throughout the whole visit she was pesonable, patient and kind. The simple act of just offering a cup of water when she seen I was in discomfort made a world of difference to me. The extra bit of care she provided genuinely made what I'm going through a lot easier to deal with in the moment and is truly appreciated.
My doctor took his time to care for my needs. I did not feel rushed. He explained everything very carefully and in a way I could understand.
