Southcoast Health patients, providers, business and community leaders and elected officials gathered today to celebrate the opening of Southcoast Health’s newest Urgent Care center in Taunton, MA. As Southcoast Health’s first location in Greater Taunton, and its seventh overall, this 6,000 square-foot center is part of the health system’s strategic plans to provide advanced medicine and care to more patients in the region.

Southcoast Health Urgent Care, located at 772 County Street between the intersection of Routes 140 and 24 and Hart’s Four Corners, will begin seeing patients on Monday, October 13 at 8am. In the coming months, Southcoast Health will announce additional specialty care services that will be available at the location, providing additional access to exceptional care for patients in Greater Taunton.

“Southcoast Health has cared for Greater Taunton residents for many years, and we are excited to offer convenient access to our high-quality care even closer to home for patients in this region,” said David O. McCready, President and Chief Executive Officer of Southcoast Health. “We look forward to adding specialty care services at this location in the coming months so that patients can access more comprehensive care in one building. We’re honored to now be physically located within the Taunton community.”

According to Shaunna O’Connell, Mayor of Taunton, “I know that many people in Taunton – older adults, parents of young children, and everyone in between – will have greater peace of mind knowing there is a high-quality Urgent Care center so close to home. I’d like to congratulate and thank Southcoast Health for bringing their excellent care to Taunton.”

“As a patient of Southcoast Health for over 25 years, I am so happy that their new Urgent Care center is opening in my hometown of Taunton and that my neighbors will experience the advanced care and personal touch that Southcoast Health has always provided me,” said Kathy Campanirio, Taunton resident and Chair of Southcoast Health’s Conselho Consultivo de Doentes e Familiares (PFAC).

Beginning Monday, October 13, Southcoast Health Urgent Care will be open seven days a week from 8am to 8pm Monday through Friday, and 9am to 5pm on weekends. The center includes 10 exam rooms, one procedure room, and X-ray and phlebotomy services. We offer convenient Save Your Spot scheduling and walk-in availability. Patients can visit southcoast.org/urgentcare for wait times and to save their spot online. Having a Southcoast Health primary care physician is not required for receiving care.
